Got my trade in box waiting for my iphone 15 pro and sending the iphone 14 back to apple. Thanks for doing this video 😅 had no idea how to place the phone inside
Make sure to take a video of you putting the phone inside and sealing it showing the shipping details. Many are complaining that when the trade in kit arrived at the 3rd party apple warehouse, no device was inside the box. Happened to me as well, lucky that i filmed this video to show proof to them that the device is inside the trade in box and got my trade in credits.

Do apple got to have the old phone before sending out new one? And how can I keep my pictures and videos ?
Apple will send you the new one 1st, then depends on the courier the trade in box will arrive with the new iphone or separate in a couple of days.
Is it after all the setting up/copying to the new phone? I was confused because I saw first the video from Apple (back up iCloud) then I was lost because the back up is not working.
This method is after copying all you data to the new phone.
do i have 14 days to return it after i have my new iphone? or the days are count after i received my trade in kit?
I asked support about that, and they said that after you received your new device. If for any reason your trade in kit gets delayed, you should contact customer support to inform the situation.
Can I just trade just in store straight away? And sort everything out on the day?
Yes if you chose the "Pickup" before checkout.

if you selected trade in online when you purchased your device, you can't. But when you did not choose online trade in online, then after receiving your new device you can just go to your apple store within 14 days and you can claim the trade in credits there

anybody else's kit look totally different? Also my trade in return label says pitney bowes but I thought that was the address for a return, not a trade in?
My kit looks different from last year, perhaps depending on their supplier i guess. in regards to the shipping label, apple partnered with a third party that will check your phone and put a value on your trade in device.
also take a video of you putting your phone inside the box and sealing it. So that you can use this as a proof to apple, coz sometimes the package gets damaged while transiting. Same as mine i received an email stating that there was no device inside the box, luckily i filmed the process and showed it to them, got my trade in credits after a few days.
do you have to remove the screen protector?
Yes, It should just be the iphone itself and nothing more.
Where do I leave the phone after putting it in the return kit for return
Bring it to wherever the return postage says it would ship it. For me it was Fedex, so i went to a local fedex store to drop it.
Do you have to pay to ship it back to apple?
No payment needed. Apple already paid for the return.

No need to send in, they just need the unit itself.
@@ToolsandGadgetsOk, I'm upgrading from the regular 11 to the 15 Pro if they think its good, its a $200 credit most likely to my Apple card since I put that as the payment method. I'm buying it outright and unlocked since I'm on prepaid. Both my 11 and the 15 Pro are 128 GB.
Sorry for the late reply, buying it thru apple card will get you 3% cash back which is a smart move.
@@ToolsandGadgets Its ok, its called you having a life outside of CZcams with a regular job and a family and life of course, gets in the way. I have this program where its a free and paid version called MaxRewards and it says to use the Apple card for Apple purchases and the Apple Pay the Apple card along with my Citi Double Cash at 2% and Amex Blue Business Plus and Apple Blue Business Cash that give me on each a $50,000 cap at 2x or 2% before dropping to 1x or 1% after $50k, but which all 4 cards give me at least 2% back on purchases. I would use the Amex cards if I need stuff like extended warranty for like a big ticket item like of course, an IPhone, so I have choices, but for regular day to day, I can use any. Its good to have choices.

Depends on your return label, if it's from UPS then drop it at a UPS Store. If it's from Fedex then drop it at a local Fedex Store.

i think as long as it's unlocked.

Depending on how you answered the questions during online trade in process, if it pushed thru then you don't need to have it unlocked.
@@ToolsandGadgets The last time I traded my phone in, I was only given a fraction of what was originally promised because the phone carrier was not unlocked. I found that odd since I couldn’t find any information stating that had to be done. I’m running into the same thing this time around. Trying to figure things out before I send my current phone back.

this doesnt looks safe, bc when I put my phone inside he was moving a lot inside when i shake the box, maybe it can scratch or damage
Hey there, there is a pull tab inside of the box. lift that then place the phone in the middle so that you could squish the phone in between the cardboard box so that it wouldn't move inside.

i'm not sure why yours slides around inside the box, the idea is that the box in the middle is squishing the phone when closing the box to avoid sliding around
