With all due respect, Sweet tiny inmensely talented Miss Aurora Asknes is not a Princess any more, no my dear friend, she is the Viking Fairy Queen, sharing and spreading her Love Magic and Goodness. Making our lives better and worth living I'm 70, so I'm still young, h ha ha! And she sounds and looks like herself.......I think Amy WInehouse was an unique artist and I don't see any harm in taking her as a reference or trying to mantain Amy's unique sound and style alive, but that is something else, another nieche. Aurora reigns and then comes the rest, Princesses and Ladys in Waiting and the rest all of the bunch out there Amen

Yes man! I like your reaction to my soulhealer. For me this this song is one of her best. and don´t get me wrong this is a splendid performance there are so much emotions here and do you see that her eyes is tearing up halfways through the song? and it´s only been beating by this song performance in Nidarosdomen (For me the best performance ever been made) and a few other ones. So nice to follow your journey of Aurora. She is definetely one of a kind.

Beautiful performance of Lucky. My favorite version of this song is live from Nidarosdomen. You can check it even off camera. So emotional, mesmerizing and beautiful. And yes she write all her songs and also compose music on piano + co-produce songs and then of course sing :). She is great and talented artist. And mind-blowing info. She wrote partially this song when she was 9 and finished it a little later. And all of this without any formal musical education she just is natural, unique artist.
Also you are right. She has great songs but for her music is mainly a way to pass message and emotions. She just feels music.
I actually love this version more, I appreciate how much better her vocal technique is in this version. Either way both performances are effing out of this world.
@@atomicnoogie I love both and this version is just different - in details but also in arrangements and in "vibe". For one it will be better for other the second and I can even understand why you prefer this version. And it is also one of great things with Aurora. Often her performances sounds like a limited version of the song and there are often more then one version of the song. Sometimes even concert has its own vibes :). She is so talented :)...
This was Aurora giving it so much emotion you can actually see the tears in her eyes in fact the whole concert is the most emotional I’ve ever seen Aurora it’s only 6 songs which she performed in lockdown but the depth of love that comes through is beyond amazing,in the concert she performs The River and trust me your tears will flow.❤️

Every time she does it. An interpretation of this one that I had not heard before and so different from the others. Different is the key to understanding our Aurora.
I'm lucky to be alive at the same time that AURORA is ascendant. I think I discovered her back at the beginning of the pandemic and she got me through it. Great reaction to this performance, D. Keep diving through her works... you can't go wrong.

Yes, as someone mentioned before me, she wrote this at 9, she also tested pretty high in a MENSA test which got her teased.
Great reaction! Unless it's an obvious cover (Bowie, Beatles, etc) you can always assume Aurora wrote the song herself. She at most works with other artists to flesh out or produce her songs. She wrote parts of this when she was 9. Her song "Soulless Creatures" from this same concert will put your jaw on the ground! So good!
Thanks a lot for another great reaction to Aurora 🙂 Yes, she writes all of her songs herself. A few of her most popular songs, like this one, she wrote at an extremely young age. This one she wrote the majority of at age 9, while she did the final touches to it some years later. And you mentioned her IQ. She does have a high IQ, and she even touched on it during a documentary called "Haik". Not in a bragging way ofc, but more in relation to how she always felt different from her peers, and how she always preferred to be alone. Just her and nature 🙂 That "Haik" docu is something you just HAVE to watch some time, as it is absolutely beautiful. Quite a few reactors have reacted to the whole thing, and they have all been blown away. At least watch it on your own time, maybe after having reacted some more to her music. You won't regret it, And that comes with a full on money back guarantee.

Aurora does write the majority of her songs, but she also sings many covers of songs that are also very amazing-from Leonard Cohen to the Beatles and many more!
So far all of your Aurora reactions have been of her doing her more somber and serious expressions of her music. PLEASE check out her performance at KEXP in Iceland for a very well made recording of a very lively happy and expressive Aurora. ALL Soft Inside is my personal favorite.
Aurora is the most aptly named human ever. The root meaning of her first name is "light" or "God's gift" and her last name Aksnes means "Chosen one" She is the best performing artist alive.
I thought 'aks' means the part of a cereal plant, like oats, that has the seeds, and 'nes' is a small peninsula or headland (cf. 'ness')?
Apparently, Aksnes has also been used as a (male) first name, stemming from Augustinus, and can in this use mean 'godly' etc. But for Aurora, it's a surname that is very local to Norway, and the meaning is most probably very concrete and geographical 🙂

AURORA shows us the world as it is and not as we would like to see it. Unfortunately, there is often a very big difference. The song "Lucky" is her way of suicide prevention. A masterpiece. And you have to consider that she started writing this song when she was 9 years old. What child at that age thinks about this topic? And creates such a song as a result?

Yes writers mostly herself, eaven when she is suppose to write with somebody she brings 90% to the table. She is deeply involved in ALL aspects of music, she and her sister eaven makes her clothes.
The song Conqurer she made with others, and she was not happy with it, but was pressured to include it because it was "a radio song". She actually started to hate it, and after the promote tour was done she has never played it again! She told her management that if she ever was forced to do music she was not happy with again she would quit!
