Hi Toni! Thanks for your video. Personally I prefer wireless setup but Wi-Fi (Sonos, Chromecast, Airplay 2) not Bluetooth.
And do you have some plans to make passive version of Apollon? I have setup in which only passive speakers can be used. Now I use KEF Q150 and it's nice but I want something less-sized.

chazylexus I didn’t specifically plan a passive version but it should be very easy to do
      So, why not

Turntables are still a league on their own.
My brother and I listened to Jimi Hendrix Band of Gypsies Live a thousand times on vinyl already.
Than the CD players got launched and that same album on CD was not able to come close to the liveliness and dynamics of the old record.
Yes the CD sounded cleaner but by far not that open and dynamic.
A more “equal” comparison would be CD-player against Bluetooth with high quality MP3/WAV/FLAC.

the Bluetooth sounds like the treble is more prominent and the chest of the voice is more behind, in this case I prefer the turntable

Nice comparison. Are you sure that the same mastering is used for the vinyl and the mp3 version?

    • @speakertoni2680
      @speakertoni2680  Před 4 lety

Sprinter 999 I don’t know it exactly but I’d guess that it’s the same
The vinyl records are just the digital track on a different medium and not a true analog recording
I would assume they just took the same digital file as for the streaming services but I don’t know for sure

I have my vinyl records and record player from childhood. CD’s are great but vinyl sounds more natural.

The same arguments have been talked about Vinyl Vs CD,Mini Disk etc....it's all about preference....having a great sound system would help,of course

As for vinyl, it sounds very real, like as if someone is behind those speakers talking/singing/playing and its just on basic device, how it sound on premium one I dare not try, I wouldn't be able to sleep then.

I’ll say all the new things in the video about the projects
But essentially I just continued to work on the projects and they should be “official” in the first half of this year

My ripped and youtube downloaded music sounds better with wire, forget flac and dsd, though there exist upscaling today, lost detail will be not added. Difference is not only in bass part but also in overal amount of details you cannot hear with bluetooth, if I can, I try to never use the bluetooth, it just take the best music experience away from me.

By now my videos are a bit different but there aren’t too many ways to do speaker comparisons so I guess I’m inspired by him
