I'll never forget the day that I went to the MoMa, just walking around and it was close to closing time when suddenly I saw Christina's World on the wall. I had always loved that painting, but had no idea it was actually in the MoMa. It was probably one of the best surprises I had ever gotten.
Very interesting. I love how much thought, detail and quality workmanship goes into the artistry of the frame to compliment the art. At MoMA, the art is completely surrounded by art.
I have been watching "museum quality framing" videos for months now, researching the field. This is the first video that approximates what I wanted to find. Absolutely perfect and subtle. Thank you, Peter; I salute your expertise.
I think we've all seen excellent art which is poorly framed. It detracts from the viewer's ability to experience the essence of the painting. This framer knows exactly what he's doing.

The painting was purchased for only $1,800.
Loved the framers' description how and why he choose the frame style. It's wonderful.
This man is an artist himself.

I know I'm five years late, but I love these videos! Watching the framing process is very inusual
Beautiful frame for a beautiful painting !!!
wow! completely did not know about wyeth picking a color for the frame from a color used in the painting. great stuff.
Wyeth, carefully, meditatively, brushing in all those long
strands of grass_
Fantastic.
Fascinating.
frames are like the gates of a portal, warding off evil spirits
When I see these... I can't help but remember all the art we have lost to WAR.
This is the stuff I like
Beautiful!
Your show is very excellent..mr.wyeth told me it took him five months to do the grass prior to placing the figure.thank you for all.
Fascinating
Would love to have his job (despite the fact I know virtually nothing about framing!) Very interesting video.
Frame stain is far too warm for that painting. Should match the more gray rustic look of the wood typical in a wyeth painting or frame.
For fans of this painting check out the music video here on CZcams for Motorpsycho's song "The Promise"

Please use noise remover.
I think this should be in The National Gallery. MOMA is great. But The National Gallery would be better.
