    If your child were drowning in a pool and you saw it and stood back and just watched without attempting to rescue your child either by jumping in or grabbing something to rescue your child and it were caught on camera you can be sure you would be charged with many charges such as child endangerment, child neglect, contibuting to the death of a minor, manslaughter etc... Those cops should all be charged as well seeing as they would not let their parents do their jobs in providing protection to their children when they neglected to do so.

    • @Katz_Pajamas
      @Katz_Pajamas Před 2 lety +11

      There were a lot of mistakes made by law enforcement so it's understandable to have this reaction. But I think the reason unarmed citizens weren't allowed to go inside and get kids, is that law enforcement can't just allow more people to put themselves in danger when there's already people in danger. Death toll would increase. Imagine if they were to allow people that are safe outside to bypass them, run in and more than likely get killed. People would be as equally angry, if not more, especially since the events could've been handled more competently. But the point I make is that even if they weren't there to prevent people from running inside, it wouldn't be logical to do so. Unarmed,with no plan, driven by uncontrolled emotion and adrenaline. That's a recipe that leads to more than likely getting killed and possibly orphaning the child. People are needing to come out, so it goes against that to let more people go in. To your analogy, it's like jumping in deep water to save someone, except you don't know how to swim and you've never been in water before. Hope this helps. Regards from TX. Very sad events.

      @@meurumtrain4747 You're definitely part of the problem when you jokingly ask "Who's going to arrest them" as if they are above others and then you state "They didn't break the law". Well...friendly reminder, LEO take a oath and are sworn in to protect their community and to uphold the law according to ordinance. As a nurse I took a oath. If mistakes occur in any career and a persons incompetence or mistake leads to loss of life it's understood that repercussions can occur. You take 2 addicts using together and 1 overdoses but the other is scared and bolts from the scene, showing extreme disregard for life and it results in the death of the overdose victim, bet your bottom dollar that the one that bolted knowing that the other was in a medical emergency and the only hope for emergency services and making contact fell on the individual that decided to leave creating culpability. We just seen a young woman that was 2 hours away from her boyfriend when he committed suicide be sent to prison because of her being the only person to know he was im a life/death situation and showing extreme disregard for human life as she was listening to him kill himself and ensured he was successful, showed culpability. A nurse was just found guilty due to a medication administration error that resulted in the death of the patient. Sooo..the fact these officers were armed up the wazoo, suited and booted with Kevlar, controlled the scene and literally prevented loved ones and family from entering the school to risk their own lives to get to their children, but stood by and did nothing, as the officers were the last line of defending the human lives being massacred and failed to act accordingly, culpability. Ohh...also, the prescious officers that cared more about their own lives that would have been at stake by running into that building and chose to not uphold their sworn duty are also not upholding even further sworn duty as a sworn peace officer employed by the city and are not being cooperative in the investigation that is now a multi-agency investigation 🙄 So.. remember to never act as if LEO are completely incapable of negative actions and behaviors because the second you dismiss others negative experiences and what people have been through, those same experiences and situations have a way of busting right in your life affecting you or loved ones and changing your once strong held ideologies and all you thought you knew.

    I honestly feel like every school that is faced with a shooting, specifically if there r casualties, that it SHOULD absolutely be torn down, and there should be a permanent memorial placed there. It doesn't matter if its 1 person or in this case 19+ other...... 1 death in a building like that needs to be taken into account. No person should KEEP going into that place and think "wow, someone died here, ppl died here, something horrific happened here and its being forgotten through everyday life". This NEEDS to become customary, this is the reality of America, and in any situation of horrific happenings we need to honor those lost. Period.

    This little girl is more of a hero than any of the officers that were there that day. A child that smeared her friend's blood all over her to survive after doing whatever she could to try to save her friend. A child that waited for the adults to come in and stop this madness for 77 minutes. 77 minutes. An 18 year old that the police knew was very dangerous. I don't care what your job is, if you're more worried about a reprimand for not following orders than you are saving lives then you don't deserve the badge you wear!! Protect and serve!! PROTECT. These kids had nobody that day. While they were inside, I want to know how many adults stood there and did nothing? I don't mean the parents that wanted to go in, I mean actual law enforcement. How many? The fact all they can say is that they made a wrong decision shows how incompetent they are. Yeah, no sh**. And then that guy that stopped responding to the investigation. 77 minutes must have seemed like an eternity to these children. Shame on every single law enforcement officer that just stood there waiting for orders while 21 people were killed, 19 of them children. I hope every single one of those parents sues that department because some of these kids or the 2 adults might have survived had they had proper and prompt medical attention but we may never know. There have been quite a few school shootings in my lifetime but this is absolutely one of the worst. I hope anyone that has a kid is talking to them and explaining how serious it is to use a gun or do something like this. I hope people are making sure their kids are alright and if they aren't, get them some help. Don't ignore warning signs or red flags. In several of these shootings there were signs the gunman was unhinged. If they had gotten help for their issues this might have never happened. We won't ever know. Mental health in this country is a mess and so aren't the treatment options we have. We need to do better and we absolutely need to protect the kids and be there for them. These kids are going to have PTSD now and for the parents that struggle to pay bills in general, who pays the mental health bills? We just sent 40 billion to Ukraine but what are we doing to help people here in this country?? I am not saying Ukraine doesn't need help and I am terribly sorry for what is happening there but we have some serious issues here in our own house that aren't being attended to and that money could have helped a lot of people and these victims are going to need something. Parents may have to miss work to help their kids heal, counseling can get expensive, if they get put on meds those cost money and not everyone can afford these things so I hope there is a solution to the future financial burden I predict these families may experience. All of these kids were amazing and they all had dreams, ambitions, likes, dislikes and personalities until some selfish psycho took it all away and nobody was coming to save the kids while they waited. That's something the entire country is outraged about and struggles to understand how a police department could be so incompetent and irresponsible. When they were really needed most, they failed. What else have they failed at?? The entire department and anything they have handled needs to be gone through with a fine tooth comb because I doubt this is the first time they screwed up. My hearts and prayers go out to the survivors and the grieving parents and friends

      @@MrMorristhecatp The point is that Chicago proves that"gun-control" laws do not prevent gun violence. Criminals and the mentally ill do not "obey" laws. People routinely get and use "illegal" drugs even though they are "illegal".
      This is a moral problem of the human soul. This culture devalues human life on a massive scale by abortion, even of full term babies and fully-born
      babies now. Does anyone think children don't realize they could have been killed in the womb and much of society thinks they should have been?
      Children are taught in public schools that "there is no God" which they must answer to someday, that they are just "intelligent animals" who evolved from slime, so they don't have an eternal soul. They are taught there is "no certain truth", "no right or wrong", and everyone can have their "own truth". There is no reason people taught these ideas should value children or human life. They are acting on their "own truth" and desires. Evolution teaches "survival of the fittest" which is the law of the jungle. If evolution is true nothing Hitler did was "wrong". He was just the "fittest". People are being taught to act without compassion like savage animals.
