MTV thought it was necessary to hype up RHCP with screaming fan montage and a weird directors cut. They were wrong. But still they didn't destroy it. Because it's impossible to destroy true greatness.

John has excellent vocals check his solo albums ... very hard to sing ... Anthony doesn't have amazing vocals .. but he has a rich voice and he is an amazing songwriter

i have to disagree with that because in this performance its a little bad but normally they're not like this just watch the slane castle version of venice queen its awesome i guess in this video john not ready to sing while playing the extremely fast chords of the song so when he get used to it he did a great job ..so please visit the slane castle version and reconsider
Thanks man, I appreciate that we're not swearing on each other, and yeah I know all rhcp songs, I really enjoy their music. I just think that compared to say... pink floyd who gave amazing live shows - and i mean performance only - rhcp are really weak live :)

@geletmote i'll tell you two probably things that could have happened with the beggining of the song.
1)mtv did not air it (i think its that)
2)they did not play it. (sounds rare but u never know)

Unfortunately, for me, they both have no singing talent, of course, there would be no rhcp without them - but they could both do something and get some lessons or something...
