Police Commissioner Dermot Shea said there were nine shooting incidents, four of them in Brooklyn, with a total of 15 victims.

It's difficult but it's a choice. Poverty forces people to make all kinds of poor choices. but there is a lot involved with the current culture that young men are drawing their honor and pride from and that's a real problem. You can always put in the hard work but these days people make fun of you and put you down if you get two jobs and work hard in school to better your life. There is a lot of pressure on kids to chose the wrong thing to give them social status... they draw a sense of purpose by being the nastiest hardest person around. And it's that pride that has them falling to peer pressure shooting each other in the street. If you can make it to 17yo you can always enter the armed services. As a poor person this was the best choice for me. So instead of following the crowd to prison or to a pine box I worked two jobs until I could get into the army. But it was a hard choice watching other kids with 10k in their backpack driving a new Lexus with all the girls hanging off them. They went from my situation to all that in a month and that's a hard choice to make as a young man under that pressure. We have a major cultural problem currently that I don't see a good solution to until it's addressed. This music... this hyper sexual society and the cheating and treating humans as objects is no way to grow up. We have 12 yo kids acting like adults and not even the best example of adults. Until we address fact that we are not providing enough buffer between being a child and being and adult we will have kids living out the music they listen to acting like the hyper sexual media they watch and not caring about life in general.

Does it include stopping opposition and dissent to your ideas, making legal gun owners criminals, changing the meaning of "shall not infringe", and giving more political leverage to career over country politicians who's failed policies are the result of those cities I previously noted?
The reason for mass shootings are mental health issues, a lack of self control, and respect for life. Those problems are not resolved by regulating freedom unless you feel you are smarter than the founding fathers of the greatest nation this planet has ever known. Returning America to the ideals of the British Empire our founding fathers escaped, in my humble opinion, is NOT the solution.
PS: Roughly 72 million handguns, 76 million rifles, and 64 million shotguns are in the USA... many of those were bought by democrats and others looking to defend their own lives from masses of people who felt entitled to take whatever they wanted to take - life, property and livelihoods.
When a mass of people come down my street chanting my privledge home is about to be burned down with me in it - I want as many 30 round magazines as possible if those people do not take me protecting my life, family and business seriously.
I am from Long Beach Ca and was a white target during the mobs of Rodney King and I now live near Portland - so I know what I'm talking about.
I respect life but I must also ask to be respected - you are entitled to your biased opinion of me but you should walk a mile in my shoes first.

@@justgodwise7873 not legally. Since proof of residence is required for the background check that is run every single time a firearm is legally purchased from an FFL (for form 4473). And if it wasn't purchased from an FFL, then it's just as easy to do a private sale in NYC as it is to do in TX

Where is the parents of all these young men? Every single one of them had a gun. Who's child has a gun and they don't know about it? We had no privacy or rights in my parents home. Couldn't even close your bedroom door. Huh? Make it make sense.
