I really enjoyed this video . The cross stitch is beautiful ,and a close up look of the Garden Moon needle book was much appreciated . I’m not doing any cross stitch now , just lap size quilts and punch needle .
It was nice to visit with both of you today. I am just finishing up the fourth season of Annie Beez Sheltering Trees Series with modifications and color changes that enabled me to use all kinds of different thread types. It was lots of fun once the basic tree, in each, was stitched and I'm very happy with the results.
I am so glad Peter showed the book with the hobby horse. My mother made me one when I was little because I was going to grow up and be Annie Oakly. What fun memories ! I don't cross stitch, but I do hand embroidery on greeting cards.
Got some stitching done while listening to your fun info about all the new things. I am starting my stitching for the small Christmas ornaments I made for my 10 grandchildren! Christmas in July!
I’m working on my summer Quaker right now. I need to finish my blue rhapsody butterfly I’ve only got a page left to do. Enjoyed seeing your projects. The new kits look like lots of fun. I would love to do the valentines Quaker in that new thread you are giving away.
Summer Quaker rocks. I still haven't completed my Quaker. Wow you are about done with your butterfly stitch. I will have to snap a pic when you finish it for our floss tube.
Working with the silks is so enjoyable to use. I find that I stitch slower with silks because I enjoy watching them glide through as they reflect the light off the threads.
Nancy, you might think of velvet or wool instead of the quilting cotton for your Christmas finish. I'm working on Rosewood Manor’s My Token of Love for a wedding sampler…this is the 4 time I've stitched this piece since 2022. I started Rosewood Manor's Old Glory as my 4th of July Start.
We always went back to school after Labor Day when I was younger. I had an Aunt Caroline. You don't hear that name too often. I'm working on "My Threads Are Cut", by Notforgotten Farm. I posted a picture update on my FB page.

Peter, you are skilled in everything, so I know you have many projects to show off, even if not cross stitch! Nancy, its fun seeing what stitching you're working on - I'm afraid im not much help in providing fabric suggestions. Even in a huge favric store, it seems the decision is difficult! I am two log cabins behind in the series. I haven't been stitching much this summer. I do like to sit outside and stitch. The weather has been pretty humid lately. There is supposed to be a 105 degree heat index today. Driving to work today though the weather was so beautiful.
@@alwaysinstitches5388there are many opportunities for fun outdoor activities in most of North America during the summer. I could understand not having a lot of stitching time.

I am working on Little House Needleworks monochromatic summer and I love it! My first time working with Belle Soie silks and I LOVE IT!

Ha! My thorn is my side is a Bull Elk from the 1991 Cross My Heart Wilderness Wildlife book. Soooooooo many colors and almost full coverage.
Switching so many colors and keeping track of them all would be quite the challenge.
