The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

Truly one of the "underated" great singers of his era. This superb singer's talent should have been more celebrated.
Amazing live performance. Voice as clear as a bell.
He has his father's good looks.
Always a beatiful voici 👏👏👏👍👍💚
Great memories listening to him on my 8 track driving to Anglesey in the 70s and 80s with my Dad.
What a wonderful tenor.
Great singer.
One of the best...ranked with the greats. Sinatra coached him back in the old days. He said that Jack was the next big up-coming singer on the scene...he was right.
One of the all time greats.
Wonderful! What a voice!
He also sang the theme from the TV show Love Boat in the 1970s
I believe the actual airdate of this episode is October 25, 1964 and the summer re-run date is listed in the description.
I LOVE TO HEAR THIS GUY SING.. ESPECIALLY MY SONG.
Voice is smooth as silk
Love ❤️
Muito..... SHOW.... ameeei!!!
Bjs!🌺💘🌺👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Ténor et très beau garrmco. C est un frère en âge. 83 1/2 ans bravo !!!! Jack
Over the garden wall led me here.
WOW
I'm not really familiar with him. Seeing him on episodes of Password from the '60s brought me here. He is GOOD! And I do understand that he sang the theme song from Love Boat...which I love, so that's cool.
I knew that song with Platters (1956)
I never heard the Platters sing that song and I was a big fan!!! Never happened!!!
I thought it was the "Bewitched" theme song which also had lyrics. The girls went crazy ha
wonderful!! thanks for sharing. wonder if you can share season 4 the episode of Miss Gloria Swanson, thank you again!
Great voice on Mr. "Call Me Irresponsible" and "Wives & Lovers". I never understood why his management team didn't try to obtain melodic pop songs from the days top songwriters for him so he could appeal to a teen audience a bit more. I do remember my female teen cousin loved him back then, though.
Double J did an album “For the in crowd” in 1965 marketed to the young at the time with modern songs. The album didn’t do well and his agent continued to have him do material for his adult audience, which did way better!
every bit as good as sinatra and dino i know criticism comingbmy way but jmho
☺️
Every bit as good and his vocals are actually better, so no criticism from me. Frank had rhythm and swing, but his voice itself, it was good but not as good as Jones.
What’s not to like about Jack Jones?
Handsome guy, not less than Elvis was.
I LOVE SINATRA BUT WOW SORRY FRANK JACK DIDNT SMOKE SO HE WINS .......
60s buble
The young ladies reaction in the audience kind of surprised me. Didn’t remember him as a “heart throb”.
It's now a 64-year "bubble". His career continues from 1958-present with 60+ albums recorded, including a new one just released. I have seen him live several times over the past 30-40 years. A sensational singer.
He recorded “ Every other day I have the blues “ when he was 83!!! He will be 85 in February and shows no sign of slowing down!!!
a great singing voice but jack had his habit of saying a few of the words which does not do any justice to him....here the screaming is so out of play that it sounds fake...and annoying
Jade zee,it's hard to be critical of a singer who lasted this long.jack Jones at his age is still giving great concerts.
Totally agree. He was a terrific singer. but he was a bit too excited about himself. Like Robert Goulet.
You people are crazy!!! You and I aren’t seeing the same Jack Jones!!! I have followed him since I was 14 and I am 80 now!!! Jack oozes sex appeal!!! Ask a woman!!! We know!!!
He had a great creamy voice, and he was pitch perfect, like Andy Williams - but they were both missing the X Factor. Good looking guys and both terrific singers, but zero sexual energy. That's why Sinatra, who was limited vocally, was the huge star he was. He had 'it'. They didn't.
You must be nuts!!!
I don't agree on that I think Jack Jones is a very Sexy and Handsome man He is so Romantic and Sings with alot of Charismatic Sexual Appeal. Andy Williams has sex appeal too. He was married to a very sexy French woman Claudine so he must of had it in her eyes.
