Thank you Rabbi Friedman. The lesson made me right being between happyness and contentment. Thanks for the lesson, a nice day to everybody.
That's a good way of looking at it.. 'a guest on god's planet' love it..💜
THANK YOU RABBI I NEEDED TO BE REMINDED SO MUCH THOSE DAYS.
Thank you , Rabbi. I needed this so much right now...
Baruch Hashem. It has helped me so much with my struggle last few days.
May you live a long life !❤
ME TOO GOD BLESS THIS WONDEFUL RABBI
Your right though .. forbid food from everyone in a bad mood.. soon turn their mood around...
Shabbat Shalom Rabbi Friedman 🙏
wealth is having more than we need..
happiness is having more than we deserve..
How much we need is subjective. We don't deserve anything. Deserving is a concept developed by people thinking we're entitled to anything. We're not.
@@Y1836Y which, in other words, means that happiness can be a product of understanding that I deserve nothing of what I have, but I was given it anyway. I think that's what @love was referring to... love the discussion! so much food for thought!
@@menachemmendelrosenstein1854possibly. Yes, it's good to discuss these ideas.
Thank you!!!
Joy is better than to be happy
Thank you.
Thanks, Rabbi Friedman, for the excellent video! 😎❤👍👏🙏🎯
Thank you. I appreciate this lesson on true happiness very much! Have a wonderful day. 🇮🇱
Well said
I love this …. I ask myself these questions every day … part of our spiritual journey …. Does G-d provide contentment in his commandments…
To bring us to those moments of happiness ….
I think it is good to be contended.
I guess happiness comes from the choices you make, if you make the right choice, what's in alignment to god's plan, you can never fail really.. it's more long term happiness rather than instant and short lived pleasure... Like what my children are like.. always looking for their next fix 😧
❤❤❤
Why do we worship anything? 🤔. We are here to learn and explore. Let's make it enjoyable ❤
Why would we be taken out of heaven to do that?
I disagree with going against the American constitution. The pursuit of happiness includes the right to work and purchase food and a roof over your headd and to defend oneself and several other things. So the explanation of this is somewhat. Simplistic though I usually agree with ninety nine point nine percent of what rabbi mannis says
Those are all things that allow the so called "pursuit of happiness", but are not inherently built into it. They are generally what IS needed for contentment as well.
things you are describing are not happiness, they r necessary for surviving
@@svietka202 yeah, I think the constitution meant that these things allow for the opportunity to pursue happiness.
I’m confused, if pleasure is wrong does that mean we can’t enjoy a meal or do things we enjoy. It seems wrong to say that you cannot enjoy your food, or you can’t take any pleasure from anything. I don’t understand that. Why did god put flavor in food
Pleasure is not wrong, as long as you use it for the good
I think the point is that eating doesn't serve our happiness, it serves our purpose. yes, it could bring us satisfaction as well, but that can't be the intention.
Dear Rabbi ,so what do you suggest? a pursuit of misery ?
A pursuit of balance and fulfillment maybe. I think you need to rewatch the video.
a persuit of meaning
purpose over pleasure
I'm not happy
Mark 15:47((G.N.T.))🎭
So I guess your sinning or not pleasing god by making the wrong choice..
We should all strive to be happy.
You might be a good person, but your reasoning and your logic is so upside down I’m shocked at all the people here that have no critical thinking
then if someone is depressed, and is then a "failure at happiness" didn't they then fail at life? would you then support suicide, in which support aborts a purpose in the face of pain?
Depression has nothing to do with happiness. Depression is an illness. If you are depressed, you are not a failure at anything. You are ill.
