- The first full run of Gray's 2t22 after it's restoration by Mccranie Warning Systems. The siren you hear in the beginning is the 2001 at River North, then the 2001-130 downtown (the siren that replaced this one). This one is pretty damn loud, especially since I made a few tweaks to it to increase the sound output.
sounds freaking flawless.
2:09 2t22 attack
Awesome, another very healthy sounding 2t22
its practically brand new. it was restored and re installed earlier the year this was recorded.
And got replaced by a 2001
@@southernsirens1659 There’s 5, 1 in Rhine, 2 got reinstalled in Gray, 1 in Upson County, and an original unit in Hawkinsville
@@southernsirens1659 the 130 at the fire station in town is now a 2T22
@@SouthGeorgiaSirens bitch what matters is on 2013 8 years ago duh
I almost swear I hear a P-15 in the beginning. Great Video!
I hear that
Sounds Amazing! The eco is pretty. Great Job on the rebuild.
It really does sound like one of these "NUCLEAR WORLD WAR III SIREN" crappy synths.. i love it
What did you tweak to get the increase in the sound output?
Beautiful siren btw great job Jeb and the crew.
correction: skip to 2:09 for 2T22
thunderbolt 1003A what the hell?
That echo is badass
Well at least the bears know to take shelter
Awesome start-up! This siren dates back to the 1950s-1960s by Federal Signal Corporation. But how long were the 2T22/3T22 sirens in production until? Mid to late 1980s?
Thanks for your comments. And I agree with Federal Signal bringing back the classic sirens. But most of them in my area have been replaced with Whelens.
@@xxwolvzxx2720 I was told they had stopped production in the early 1990's, but thank you for replying to my six-year-old comment ;)
1955
ahhhh the good ol golden days
Supposedly this used to be a 3T22
That’s the one I helped you with at the dump station isn’t it? Hard to believe that was 9 years ago already.
Starts at 2:09
By a "few tweaks" what do you mean?
is this siren still there?
@@southernsirens1659 um yes it is it was restored
Seriously though, what did you do to make it louder?
except for more than 1 cycle, it reminds me of the Rutgers football 3rd down siren :D
You know when you think about it all a siren really is, is air and motors. :P. And controls too of course.
I always thought so, too. But I learned that sirens have quite the anatomy.
Great video!
reading your description, what did you modify to increase the sound output?
Yep, the one by the fire department that used to be a 3T22 lol.
Stupid question, but I'm gonna ask, anyway. Is it mounted on top of a tree?
No, it's on a pole behind the tree line
I sure would like to see a siren mounted on a tree
That would be so cool though
No
Well yes because the wood pole is made from a tree
We think that's a Vortex in Bibb county.
hmm may this be the siren that will best your Rhrine 2T22 restoration?
What's the location of this siren (if anyone knows it)
@@southernsirens1659 all late lmao
@@rkryukov996 gray has both 2T22s. It was replaced by the 2001 downtown then refurbed and installed here, then the downtown 2001 was replaced by another 2t22.
How did you "tweak" the siren?
On their Facebook page they installed a different siren and asked the neighbors which level sounded more distinguishable and they ended up putting the chopper on level 7, so Im assuming they tweaked the level that the chopper is set at if that’s even a thing you can do?
@@WilliamNealyMusic it isn't a thing you can do. I'm assuming the tweak he made was taking the dampers out
How loud (Tell me the decibel reading)
130 db?
10/12 siren
msmoo moogameing Just like the Carter siren.
And Mobil Directo, some Allertors, some 500s...
2:11
It's a secret.
dude that's so creepy but the siren is loudest 2t22 tornado siren
no, the chrystler air raid siren is even louder, it runs on a V8 engine
hence the *2t22 siren*
Sound like buzzimg
WW3 LOL JKIDING
