  • In this video I make a baglama, a very popular 6 string musical instrument which is really common in Greek urban folk music genre called "rebetiko".
    Tools I propose:
    Carving gouge: amzn.to/2A5DaQH
    Goose scraper: amzn.to/2IPCNwt
    Chisel set: amzn.to/2pILO1B
    Flat rasp: amzn.to/2ITVDm0
    Round rasp: amzn.to/2A5EpPS
    Flat file: amzn.to/2RHIMHH
    Round file: amzn.to/2RHJ80Z
    Spoke shave: amzn.to/2E74p1w
    Flush trim saw: amzn.to/2PnkoJM
Disclosure: Some of the links below are affiliate links, meaning, that at no cost to you, I get a small commission if you click through and make a purchase.
I made this video using lime tree, ebony and spruce wood. All the luthier supplies for this build were sent to me from:

Many thanks to the company for that.

Could you ever imagine this organ was made in jail when bouzouki was forbitten by the law as an instrument "you could go to jail for playing that or bouzouki or baglama " and it is so small, to be able to hide it very easy from policements. Now, - thank god - neither bouzouki nor baglama is forbitten.

You might not see this, but for my own builds I was wondering: what do you use for your fret markers? I know that it's common for you to use a soldering iron to mark the sides, but for the top of the fretboard, so you just use wood dowels and a flat saw?
