I purchased the earth tone carry on and I'm so excited to use it on an upcoming trip! Transitioning from checked to carry-on traveler is tough but a fun challenge :)

Don't bring clothes that might not fit at the end of the trip is sage advice. I learned it the very hard way a few years ago when on the way home from a trip after the holidays all I could wear were the yoga pants I bought. Ever since I bring elastic waist pants even my jeans have elastic in the waist now (they have a zipper and button too). I actually just bought a packable bag to use for souvenirs. I check my suitcase with all my dirty clothes and then bring my souvenirs in the packable bag carry on with my backpack. Just took a trip right before Christmas that I had a checked bag for all my dirty clothes and had a whole carry on suitcase of gifts/souvenirs. Being the holidays I knew we'd be buying a lot and I planned for it.
I loved seeing your goodies ❤. I was scared your luggage will blow up. Anyway you were ready in case your luggage will be checked but will not mind since you will just wait for it at home .😮😅
I always have issues with zipping my bag up to go home but it’s not because I’m bringing a lot home with me! I’m not much of a shopper when I travel and at most am bringing home some keychains for friends and coworkers. My issue is somehow I never remember when I’m packing my suitcase at home that I will never be able to pack my dirty clothes as compactly as I packed them when they’re clean and don’t leave space to accommodate that reality. My clothes always take up at least 25% more space when they’re dirty despite my best efforts to fold or roll them as compactly as possible. A lot of times I can barely get the compression straps to connect even though when I first packed my bag they were cinched down a few inches! I don’t understand it, but it’s always the case. I use an expandable suitcase and I always have to expand it on the way home even when there’s not a single item in my bag that’s new!
On my last trip I wore every single item I brought with me except for a scarf. I also didn’t use the tripod/self stick combo that I brought and I didn’t use all of the hair accessories and products I brought either. If I had to do it all over again, I’d probably pair my hair things down to a couple of hair ties, scrunchie and a pair of barrettes for when I’m sick of my bangs, leave the scarf and tripod at home, and also pack less makeup. I actually used all of the makeup I brought, but I could have gotten by with much less and have been just as happy. I need to remember that just because I technically have room in my bag for something doesn’t mean I should bring it if I don’t actually need it!

This was a fun video! I ended up checking my bag on the way home and buying a second backpack for souvenirs on my most recent trip. It wouldn’t have been necessary, except I broke a rule and brought two pairs of booties with me 😬🙈 and of course I only ended up wearing one pair the entire time

There were none. We flew United/lufthansa and Swiss and Croatia air

I love how you pack. But question can you weigh your carryon after packing? As does that bag you just packed weigh less than 18 lbs and fit in overhead? I’m nervous about my trip next year and then weighing your carryon and personal items
I’ve only ever had my bag weighed twice out of all 9 years of traveling

What was your experience with the Sash bag?
It was eh. Cool pockets but no room for actual things. The deep middle part needs to actually open up. It’s literally only the 6 pockets.

Can you pleaese do a review of carry on roller boards with wheels that work great with carpet? I'm a flight attendant based in iad airport and our terminal is all carpet in the C and D concourse. I'm looking for a bag that works just as smoothly on carpets as it does reg floors. I spend ALOT of my time in this airport and my Tumi is not getting it! If you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it! PLEASE HELP A SISTER OUT😂❤

I'm interested why you didn't pack any of the Merino wool? First, when you indicate the sweater that never dried..... I would assume that was cotton?? Merino or synthetic would have dried overnight... Two pairs of jeans (I hope you wore one on the flight, while uncomfortable on the flight at least you would have saved room that way) I have not traveled with jeans.... ever! They are simply not worth it compared to the room they take up.
Scarves are a great souvenir gift to bring for others or even for yourself. However I think your viewers would be interested to see the shops that you buy these at. Please consider creating a video on how to avoid cheap polyester knock-offs and how to talk to the locals and find out the bargains on genuine items.

I don’t like the style of my one merino wool sweater to be honest. It’s just a cheap Walmart sweater.
Yes I wore one on the flight, they are very stretchy and comfortable, and I was glad I brought another because they both stretched out so much.
And honestly, all of my souvenirs were just from random stands or local stores in all of the cities. I’m sure none of them are great quality 😂
so looks like the Heys cubes and wheels and handles stood up well. Sorry you had to leave clothes behind but why couldn't you wrap some of the scarves or hats in your personal item instead to put Gucci sneaks in carry on in reverse. So did you check it expanded going home?
We only left clothes behind because we didn’t want them when we came home (not because we had to) and there was no room in my personal item 😂 and I wanted my box to stay intact. It all worked out just fine

Girl you are too much and too good at packing. 😂Was there a weight limit on your carry on being it was an international flight? I had a 15 pd limit on emirates plus only 8 inches deep.
Weight limits are always listed, but I’ve only ever been weighed twice in all of my travels

Yes I often bring things I don’t mind donating, just in case. On my last trip to India, 80% of my clothes I brought knowing that my tour was open to donations after!

At an airport? They never left my arm. tons of people have shopping bags as they get on flights. They made it just fine.
