- All 5 of these cars, bought in 2023, have dropped significantly in value in the space of just 1 year or less! They're all insanely fast, exotic, and hopefully future prices will continue to dip to make them more affordable!
I hope you enjoy!

The F type, Alfa and Lotus are god tier cars all stunning
waiting a couple more years for Emira to dip even further 😍😍
Me too.
they’ll stay up until the AMG powered one actually starts being delivered
Think the Emira looks like a super. Hoping the same thing to get one in several years when they drop in price. Hopefully by that time the world hasn't banned ICE
That facelift F type is lovely.
In the metal, they look even better.
@@user-vc7sn6oy3j I bet! I was never a fan of the old one but this is really nice. Chatting as if I can afford either hahah!
Shoudl look at BMW 8 series depreciation. I have the M850 and got it for 60k lower than list after 3 years old
Quality vid, not sure if it’s deliberate bit that was perfect in terms of pace of speech. Snappy and well researched. Thank you!
I did my best to slow down! Cheers 🤙🏽
Tht Audi is GEORGEOUs!
yea and made of plastic. Unreliable scrap.
Every EV ever made could be on this list...and should.
Who tf wants one tho
Yeah. They depreciate faster than anything else.
2 car garage for 100k combined what would you have? 😍👍
even tho it's depreciating, it's more of a market correction since these new prices dipping to how much people are willing to pay
Any chance not give the UK Gov more tax is a must for me. So second hand almost new is a must.
My TLX Type S depreciated 25% in 6 months.
Quality cars - love the RS7
Really good narration
My F Type R75 is less than 66% the cost of my previous M3 (G80) to insure, so I don't think insurance is the issue with the price drop. Mpg and emissions aren't great, but those looks and that sound...
I used to own one of the Jaguar SVT's (600HP) but it was totalled when an Austrian old man ran into the back of it while it was parked (long story). I now own one of the V8 S7s (bought used) and am currently considering buying an Emira. Have not found ANY discounts on the EMira so ... where are you finding that type of reduction? Ah-Ha! Your in Europe... Now it makes sense
Electric motors are simple. They only have one moving part! A lot simpler than ICE engine be certainty.
Brand new versus second hand depends entirely on the car and my pockets at the time. For example I’m a BMW fan so I’d gladly spec a G80 if I could. Whereas the RS7 I’d rather buy at a post depreciation price just enjoy a nice daily rocket ship
I love depreciation, means I can buy a cracking 3 year old car with low mileage for a more realistic price from an auction. 👍
E -Type wasn’t launched 75 years ago, was it?
The M3 touring will likely be a rare value investment car in 10-15y
Many people bought them at £110k+ when they first appeared
Surprised to not see a Bentley in the list.
Cars with out of the norm depreciation without any practical explanation means the manufacturer was over charging
Interesting. I need to see how those Lotus look here in America.
Regarding the Jaguar, buy the latest previous generation f type r for less. They look better anyways
Always used, unless I was filthy rich. Especially now long warranties are the norm (or just cheap) even on used cars. I'd love to pick options, but I'd rather have a car that was triple the price 3 years ago instead!
The QV is really a lovely car, I did find it needed a lot more pace to feel special than I'd hoped which put me off. Also Alfa have misplaced the decimal in their economy figures, I'm actually not sure I've driven a less economical car. Still, it's that or the Emira for me.
The F-Type is the sort of car I want really, but it's got a few flaws like dated infotainment, sub-par economy and a horrible lack of seat/wheel adjustment that means I don't fit properly at all! Otherwise, I'd have one - I'd try a later one to see if that's solved, but it's less pretty and they dropped the V6 so it's either pushing the running costs well past a 911 or a 4-pot GT which is all wrong.
I have a '22 Audi S5, it's lost a massive amount of value and costs a lot to run. Nice car but will get something more sensible next time.
Don't forget to take into account the V.A.T. when new, once this is considered they haven't dropped that much in price.
Surprised you didn’t mention the M8 I’ve seen discounts upto 40k on brand new ones sitting in dealiships
Funny coincidence - my video from last night touches on exactly that! czcams.com/video/SiMVljZIDdM/video.html
@@CarsWithJB I watched straight after 🤣
Only CZcamsr, I don’t watch in time and a half speed😅
I got to the end of this and I feel so……..poor. 😔
The BMW 550 X drive has depreciated 30% in one year.
Thanks for explaining why you adjust for inflation. But....😅 Its only relevant if you took your £100k and instead of buying said car, you invested wisely enough to keep up with inflation so im still conflicted if it should be taken into account 😂. Agree to disagree? 🤦
Good point, but any new car, boat, or RV is a terrible "investment".
@@crankychris2didn't buy a McLaren F1 then?
Porsche Taycan. £120K new in 2020. £46K now.
Lotto for a new car - or always waiting for a few years to dip. 🧐
How about a appreciation video one off
Done a few, more to come 👀
Never buy brand new I have learnt this lesson, you're better off buying a 3 year old car with low miles
Every EV Especially the Porcshe Taycan should be on the list,Disagree with the Alfa Guila Qf they are holding there price ok and you cant buy one for under thirty grand unless its CAT registered.
I usually buy 1 year old cars with under 5k miles...& keep them for 18-24 months. I've had 4 F-Types (from base 30.V6 to R) & currently own a 2023 RS5 Vorsprung coupe
The amount of depreciation I've suffered is roughly the size of a small African nation's annual GDP! 😁 Luckily my stash of BTC is doing rather welll right now *EDIT:* Although I started selling some a bit too early at 39k which is 2x my cost base. You win some, you lose some ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Every electric car should be on this list lol. They depreciate like a falling rock
As for the M3 touring it is a terrible example of what an M car should be, way too heavy, an electric tailgate, what a joke, after the V8 M3 and V10 M5 M cars were done
Wish i could afford a new car. I've always had to buy 2nd hand😢
For once im glad to being poor as i dont even have the cash for none of them.. 😅
So the RS7 has actually held its value, down 17% with VAT at 20%
Please do better
Why would anyone buy an Alfa or a Jaguar ? Can you do a video on EV depreciation?
Why wouldn't you
