    Damn, such a cool thing and what a great demo. I'lll probably pick one up to pair with my 4HP FXAid in my 62HP Palette. I have pretty similar modules in there function wise, so it's really nice to see where this can go. I absolutely love the possibilities with the settings. Just the delay bitrate settings got me drooling... :D

    Inspirational as ever. Ooh the 104hp Palette - I'm on the verge of one of those myself!

      I was meant to buying a small case just for demoing modules... Somehow I ended up with this.... Whoops.

    Maaan mine shows up tomorrow. Very pumped to see some more demos while I wait. This was great! I'm curious how the Data Corrupter mode compares to Data Bender. Looks like it definitely gets into similar territory.

    Nice review! I want that X-Pan...gimme it.

      I ended up paying new price for that used x-pan because they're such a pain to get hold of - I'm never getting rid of it.

      @@OscillatorSink No one is getting rid of them! Sign of a good module.

    Thanks for the great demo. I also jumped on buying one for the same reasons! :)
    On the first patch you're using an LFO to Pams Cv in. What (if anything) were you modulating?

    • @OscillatorSink
      @OscillatorSink  Před 2 lety +1

      The clock division for the gate that's triggering the melody. So the notes keep getting more and less dense. It's a different vibe to modulating Random Skip for example.

    Awesome again OS this module has so much potential, really liked no3 patch it had some elements , particularly the Bass note melodies that I’d use as a riff for track but how to capture just that I’ve no idea
    I’ll have to wait to get this as other modules on wish list first👍🆒🎶🎶🎶🕸⚡️🌟

    This seems like a really nice alternative to the FX AID XL. Less effects, but an easier to use interface. My FX AID interface involves a note card that tells what each effect is based on the dots...

    • @OscillatorSink
      @OscillatorSink  Před 2 lety +1

      The nice thing about the FX AID is that you can load custom SPIN code onto it and get really particular about the sounds, but I'd agree that the MFX wins on the UI as far as I can see (I don't own the FX AID) and having offsets/attenuation on the CV inputs on the MFX makes it more flexible from the CV control perspective (and saves on needing other modules).

    • @jammystraub488
      @jammystraub488 Před 2 lety

      @@OscillatorSink Oh yeah, the FX AID requires attenuation to do anything useful modulation wise. I do enjoy mine though, they've made some great algorithms for it and the bit crusher is a nice bonus. When I got it there wasn't a lot of options for modules that could do multiple effects simultaneously. Today I'd look hard at something like the Poly Hector.

    What do you think about not having dedicated physical controls for wet/dry or the other parameters that are being controlled by CV? I don't like the UI on FX Aid, but once the effect is selected, there's knobs to control wet/dry, etc

    • @OscillatorSink
      @OscillatorSink  Před 2 lety

      In the context of my rack - it doesn't bother me at all, if I want direct control of anything I can assign it to one of the CV inputs and hook up 4tten or Quadratt. That is obviously going to be heavily dependent on what's in your rack, but I really appreciate that a single CV input can be sent to multiple parameters at once, by different amounts, possibly inverted on the MFX. Definitely a case of "your mileage may vary".
      I guess another question is whether you feel that you need the additional CV control?

    • @888cromartie
      @888cromartie Před 2 lety

      @@OscillatorSink Having CV control is useful, but tying up two? attenuverters to create a fixed voltage for a knob control a bit much for a smaller performance rack. Really want to like it, but having one knob like Pam's makes it slightly less appealing. It would be nice if the fx were open for adding more or customizing it further.
