Ich habe mir einfach mal aus Spaß den Sound vom Noire zugelegt. Den PC habe ich an mein Digital Piano angeschlossen und die Lautsprecher (von Bose) mit dem PC verbunden. Der Sound und das Spielerlebnis vom Noire ist soweit o. K.. Professionelle Musiker mit Tonstudio können sicherlich mehr mit dem Klavierklang anfangen.
Danke für deine Einschätzung. Piano-VST sind ja primär auch für die Anwendung in der Musikproduktion gemacht. Gute Studiomonitore bzw. wie im Video gesagt gute Studiokopfhörer würde ich auf jeden Fall zur Bewertung empfehlen.
Super Video mal wieder. Das hilft mir bei meiner Kaufentscheidung. Ich habe das Kawai CA49 und habe ein Plugin gesucht womit ich mein Klavier mit dem Pc verbinden kann. Es wird denke ich Pianoteq. Noch eine Frage, wie heißt das Lied was ihr bei der Spitfire Audio Demo spielt bei etwa 27:40 ? Dankeschön
Danke für dein Feedback! Das "Lied" am Anfang - es kommt mir auch irgendwie bekannt vor, aber es ist eine Improvisation, die bei unserem Online-Dreh spontan entstand.

Best thing is, when the VST offers the option to set the volume of the mechanical noises separately. I can recommend the two VSTs from Native Instruments: Noire and Una Corda. Both sound extremely good and offer many options to tweak the sound. Even layering the two can sound surprisingly good:-) And of course - with Noire you have two instruments in one. So also the regular Grand Piano sounds amazing.
Thank you for feedback. The sustain pedal has no effect in terms of "damping" the sound. There are different terms for this pedal, so it is misunderstood easily: for example Hold Pedal, Forte Pedal, but also "damper" pedal. The sustain pedal therefor is lifting up the damper bar in order to let the tones sound even after you let off the keys. Some upright pianos have a special pedal, that has a damping effect. This is called the "Celeste"- or "Moderator"-Pedal. This pedal is controlling a mechanism to bring a felt bar between the hammers and Strings. So it makes the hammers hitting the strings much softer. The piano sound then has less overtones and is softer, too. One can say, that the moderator pedal turns the acoustic piano to a so called "felt piano". It is just that easy.

I wonder if no felt piano is available, can you get close by just using the sustain pedal and damper pedal?
