story 4: I mean OP is entitled to not want someone he hasn't met staying at his house for an ambiguous amount of time but seriously, it shouldn't have gotten to threats and crap. There could be some obvious compromise here: if you want to make it work with your gf, you'd probably better meet these kids and get used to them being around. So nail down a definite, non-negotiable time period that the girl is allowed to stay and make it clear that you're not ok with being a "run away" destination for all her problems. And then discuss with your gf like adults how y'all might be able to help teach her some of that responsibility without just making her run away from you because apparently her mother isn't doing great at that.
What was the Karen doing in the park before it was open? The OP should have pressed charges against Karen for being held against his will, she technically kidnapped him. That'd get her arrested. ☮️🖖

Story 1: That Karen really just should've both shut up and minded her own business. Also... if no one was supposed to be at the park prior to 8AM, then why was she there?? I always hate it when Karen's like this always try and call the cops and then lie to them about everything.... more of them need to be charged and/or arrested for wasting police resources.
Story 2: The OP's bf here is clearly just mooching off of the OP here and the OP should 100% charge him rent. The guy is just completely lazy here and im honestly surprised that the OP is even trying to stick out this relationship.
Story 3: Yeah if youre going to do racing like this on a private track, you shouldnt use your day-to-day vehicle.... you buy some cheap old beater car/truck for it. Hopefully its a costly lesson for the OP here.
Story 4: OP is not a jerk for denying the gf's friend a place to stay... their house their rules...however, he is a jerk with the way this was all handled, along with his comments. This couldve been handled a lot better by both the OP and the gf, but especially the OP here.
Story 5: No means no people! OP is not a jerk here. Kay is and whomever the friend was that tagged her in the post to begin with. If i were the OP, i would've asked them to remove the tag, or do it yourself or something, especially if you get weirdos like Kay messaging you about it. Also, its no problem nor fault of the OP that Kay can't provide her granddaughter with this doll. Maybe dont make promises you can't keep.... especially to a child at Christmas time. Good thing the OP blocked her in the end. Constant badgering is bad enough, but as soon as the guilt tripping crosses the line big time.

People use quantitative words that mean a definite amount of time in an ambiguous context all the time. Whenever one asks for a second, few people would call out the interruption for taking longer than a literal second. A jiffy is another one as it is literally 0.01 seconds. OP was right to be sceptical.

When it comes to the last story there's one important thing that anybody should know: you are *NEVER* the jerk for refusing to sell your own property. There is no moral, ethical, or societal obligation that exists that would force you into selling your own property for any reason. Obviously NTA.
story 1: ok that karen should have just minded her own buisness and not called the police on someone doing their job.if they say their doing their job let them do their job.that lady was ovbiously looking for trouble.
Story 2: Stay away from “Influencers”. He isn’t earning the money, and even if he was it’s not worth it. Especially since he probably still wouldn’t contribute even if he’s viral and earning big bucks.

Story 4: I don't blame OP at all. I had a friend earlier this year ask me if HIS friend could spend the night at my house because they were having trouble with their family around Easter and my friend wasn't in town. I didn't miss a beat in saying sure, they can stay for a night. They didn't leave for a week, they didn't help around the house, they didn't help with food, they picked on me to our friend about my eating habits, they gave me no personal space even after I asked for personal space. It was a very, very long "night".
Ive been in automotive for a couple years, i know my car like the back of my hand, i trust my car and am confident with its repairs. That being said, i would NEVER take my daily driver on a homemade dirt track. I take it up the canyon on occasion, but good Lord.

Story 2: OPs boyfriend is 100% leeching off her. No professional CZcamsr would not upload for a whole month unless something very serious happened, which is not the case here. So yeah, make him pay rent or better yet break up with him and kick him out.
Story 3: I'm not sure what to say, it's really stupid to be so reckless with a car you depend on in your day to day life. I hope OP learned his lesson.
Story 4: I feel like both sides were a bit unreasonable here. The girlfriend can't just expect OP to be okay with a child he doesn't know yet living in their house during the holiday season for god knows how long without consulting with him. But OPs response to the situation was way more aggressive then necessary, and he seemingly didn't take the close relationship his girlfriend has with this child into consideration either, which is important as they are kind of like family.
Story 5: OP is not the jerk at all. I doubt Christmas will be entirely ruined for a child just because of a doll, but even if it does, she can blame grandma who didn't get her gift in time, not OP who didn't want to be ripped off.

Me personally if i have the means to help someone i will help them as long as they're respectful, if my partner thought of them like their children there wouldn't even be a question, they will stay, he could've given her a time limit like yeah you can stay but just for a week, and saying his gf is ruining Christmas cus she wants to help a child she's close to is a dick move, in my opinion an 18 year old is still a kid in my state you're not a legal adult till you're 19 it's not really fair to expect someone who just turned 18 to behave like an adult and get their shit together everyone deserves a little help if they show they appreciate it

I have to say I have a problem with one story in particular and that’s the one where the guy is saying. He doesn’t want his girlfriends friends daughter staying with them for a couple of weeks he’s talking about. Oh best friend doesn’t teach our kids any responsibility and she needs to learn to follow her mothers rules yada yada yada. But then the narrator says he goes to clear up that he’s never met this kid and they never actually see what the problem is it doesn’t they didn’t say if it’s about following rules, they didn’t say anything. they necessarily don’t see what the fight was about. So it sounds like the original poster didn’t know what the fight was about and so he contradicts himself by saying this friend doesn’t teach her kids responsibility, but then saying he’s never met a friend or the kid before.
