I think I started following your channel when you did a overview of the Czech/Polish bread bag. Got a couple for my boys and they still use them.

It's a nice bag, although the newer model is even better imho. The little strap goes around the leg, if you are hanging the bag from the belt.

Nice bag but for $21 check out Midway USA romanian haversak. Mine said grade 2 but has to be unissued due to the burrs on buckles when stamped during manufacturing, wouldnt allow straps to go in. Took 2 mins with a dremel to clean up. Well worth the $21. Im gonna buy another.

Used these and similar for decades. All the various militaries have their own versions of a gasmask bag, some are better than others. I quite like the Finnish one.

Nice bag. Love military gear. Given the recent... difficulties, one might want to carry a new respirator in it.

It just needs a minor mod. I have the gsr multicam one as well. Its much nicer to carry as it has a 2 inch wide strap.
So a few dollars I had a few loops with a small D ring on it. Then you can plip a wider strap such as the GSR one on. Or anything wider Computer bag strap etc.
2 inch strap i carry a pint waterbottle in it brew kir stove head lamp small tarp some oat sachets thin merino jumper and an emergency bivy.
If time runs low or it starts raining hard.. your set for an uncomfortable semi warm night out.
The back strap will clip over a Alice belt. With the d ring mod you can then use it as a butt pack on a harness. Or as I did add a plce belt and 2 british plce waterbottles and covers.
British cup that comes with the bottle is perfect size to use a nescafe 3 in 1 coffee sachet as well

I like this bag it does suit a lot of my needs very well and with the way that the lid is designed it keeps the weather out very nicely also I think that with the straps inside of the lid you can go larger on a tarp rolled tightly and properly you can go up to a 10 x 12 tarp for shelter plus with the amount of room inside the bag I can add a few hunting gear ( deer drag, small hatchet, folding saw, ect, along with a diy M.R.E. or two in case you get turned around in the woods or what have you. Let me know what you think.

Got one on the way. I already have the polish version. Which is a lot more light weight. Makes a good pack able one.

I have that very bag, three of them, got them as a 3 pack for a great price from sportsman’s guide. They are awesome, it’s all anyone needs, it’s my main haversack, love mine, a esbit stove fits perfect in that outside pocket. This is the only video I’ve seen on this haversack, I also highly recommend this bag

Thanks for sharing this. I have one on order from eBay. I can hardly wait for it to get here so I can start knitting it out. I have been using an old rothco bag that is falling apart. I also have a small butt pack on order that will contain a poncho and woobie for the times when it's possible to be out over night. Hope I can figure out how to attach it to the bottom of the bag. I have several woobies and sleep under one every night of the year.

I just ordered one from Thunderhead Outfitters for $10.75 and it totaled just over $17 with shipping. Esty and Sportmans Guide tack on expensive shipping which puts it north of $30. What a rip off! That is why I stopped shopping with these people.
