- In this video, we are trophy bluegill fishing in Texas. We use side imaging to find giant bluegill beds. We are bluegill fishing with live crickets under bobbers to catch these monster bluegill. These are the biggest bluegill I have ever caught in my life. We are targeting monster coppernose bluegill, and we found some absolute giants. Bluegill fishing Texas has some of the best bluegill fishing in the country, and it shows in this video. I show you how I hook my live crickets to fish for bluegill, these big bluegill can't resist the live crickets! We targeted bluegill beds in 10' of water, and they were ready to eat! Giant gillz bro,I mostly bass fish but I take my pan fish gear with me an there is nothing like a fight like that with light tackle...That is the best addiction there is out there,and just like u I bring my wife with me everytime I go,taught her how to throw a baitcaster and now she is hooked,we had our first double lastnite and we got em to the bank and they came off,cherish every moment when we fish,keep up the good work making material yall be careful.

This is my favorite video because it's the one thing I haven't done in Texas yet.
The beginning of the video where you show how to use the side scan was really informative. Now I just have to convince my wife that I need one. The size of those bluegills were impressive. They had to be a blast to catch.

Those were some dinosaurs. Hannah is a magnet to big fish. I would target bluegill instead of crappie if we had that size on my lake. I know how hard an average size bluegill fights so i can imagine how fun it was to reel those babies in. Good stuff Caleb!!

Nice haul on those gills, that lake has the largest ghost minnows I have even seen anywhere, they grow to
5 inches!! You can also catch a lot of grass shrimp too if you have a 3/16 cast net. That is probably why
you did best with the crickets. That lake does not get the fishing pressure like the other larger lakes so
is good to take kids too for a quiet outing but don't swim in the water, gators are very present. June and catching gills, the best of summer, so nostalgic. Great video!

I like using the bobby garland 1.25" on a size 8 64th ounce jighead and a bobber, they like the black/chartreuse one because it looks like a Bass fry, but you could definitely use a 2 inch ones for units like that.

This was a long trip for a catch clean and cook. But when I do a catch clean and cook, they never perform well. Way more work, and it doesn’t pay off. I will definitely consider more catch clean and cooks in the future. Thanks for watching! God bless
