    I had watched many videos on YT for this replacement few weeks back. None of them were as in-depth as your video!
    New things I learned:
    1. Wiper blade service position!
    2. The scuttle panel can fold in half.
    3. There can be enough room to change the filter! I had followed another video and had to sort of wiggle around and push the filter in last time.
    Thankyou!

    Another nice vid Cyd. I didn't know about the wiper service mode, that's very handy to know about thank you. It's worth mentioning about the hole just underneath the cabin filter, mine was blocked with old leaves, easy to clean out with an old tooth brush or similar. (The hole leads into the back of the engine bay) I also had a broken clip that holds the scuttle cover down to the edge of the windowscreen ( 3 on the passenger side section ) these are available from saabits website if anyone needs any. 👍

      @CycloneCyd  Před 3 lety +1

      No not 'stupid'. I do assume viewers might be new to car maintenance or this might be their first time doing this particular job, so I try to strike a balance between giving a newbie enough detail while not boring an 'old hand' to death if it's their first time or a new car to them. I was very lucky in my early career to have a great Manager who taught me that everyone knows something but no-one knows everything and together we make a great team. Hence why I love it when viewers add their experience and knowledge via the comments.

The passenger footwell is dry as a bone. As a precaution, I've cleared out the drain hole etc as described in your video. However, on cleaning it out there was no build up of water in the area and the air filter was completely dry with no tide marks or similar to indicate standing water. Is this likely to solve my problem or is there another issue that just affects the right side footwell? Thanks - Brian.

      A few people have been saying this. I think it might be early 9-3s (03-05MY) might not have them fitted and they were introduced by Saab as a running change during 05 or 06 model year. That suggests that not having it created a problem with water ingress. I would suggest trying to find someone breaking a 9-3 and pick one up 2ndhand.
      Let me know how you get on.

      WELL SPOTTED. I just watched it back on a bigger screen and you are correct. In the video, I place the filter the wrong way round at that point. HOWEVER, I do know that I took it back out to do the sealing for the leak video (czcams.com/video/NcennoeNCQk/video.html) and was very careful to put it the correct way round when it all went back together.
