Just a question, are you from Europe by any chance? If not, is english your second language? I noticed that your pronunciations are not all in line with how the Americas tend to pronounce them, ie: caterpie. The way people in the Americas pronunce it would be cat- er- pea (as in the food), unlike your pronunciation cat- er- pie 🥧. I don't wish to be rude by asking, I just want to understand why the pronunciation would be so different.
I'm pretty sure it's a spider 1. It looks absolutely nothing like a tick 2. Ticks aren't hairy, some spiders are 3. Its evolution galvantula is 100% a spider (Even if it was a tick, its not on the wrong part of the evolution tree, because ticks are arachnids.)
