I know a lot of people don't like Alisa (and Lars) a lot since their introductions, but they've really grown on me. I've just embraced Alisa's crazy robot fighting style.
Zafina I don't mind, but I hope she gets a bit more relevance in the story than just a soothsayer. It doesn't seem to be the case with Claudio around, but only time will tell.
And that opening. HOLY SHIT. It's so freaking anime, but I love it. Bonus points for the middle part giving off major Tekken 5 vibes.
The live action trailer felt so early 2000s and I love it.

Most people that don’t like them two are just the loud old heads that couldn’t handle a new protagonist and focus away from their favourites for a game. They’re the ones more likely to talk trash on forums and reddit and stuff, so it seems like it’s the prevailing opinion.
But really lots of casuals who played Tekken 6 loved Lars and Alisa, I’d say even now they’re probs in top 10 most popular amongst casuals for sure. Just not with the “Tekken must be grounded in reality and only realistic fighting” crowd or the competitive crowd.
Like look at Lars’ tekken 8 trailers views, he got more than Paul, Bryan, Jack, Nina, Xiaoyu etc.
