Great video! It was a rough year but Lord knows us Montanan’s will get passed this and come out better in 2022. 2021 is a year for the books we will never forget and tell stories of to future generations about for a long time.
Very nice job in communicating the Montana farmer's process during a disastrous drought year.
Great production similar to the year we had in Saskatchewan hopefully 2022 is a lot better. You did a awesome job of filming and telling the story of the farm life
As always your production/stories are first rate professionally done. Thank you for sharing 🚜🚜🚜
Well produced video!! Blessings to all the area farmers there. Let the heavens open up with snow this winter and rain next summer!👊🙏 (grew up on a farm)
Riley, you did an absolute fantastic job putting this video together! As in the old CZcams days, 5 stars! 😉
We were blessed here in the Midwest with good rains and bountiful harvest of corn, beans and potatoes. Hope for a better 2022!
Take care & God Bless!
I was over in Iowa in September and crops looked great over there! Hopefully 2022 brings the Northwest a lot of moisture.
North central Alberta was super hot and dry as well
Another great video ! I hope this brings to light what all farmers face year after year . People have no idea how small a piece of the end product price a farmer really get's for his commodities they have worked so hard to produce .
Neighbour to the north in Saskatchewan. Awesome video great display of what the heart beat of agriculture is and how drought affects everyone. We are resilient; we will produce. 👍
Outstanding work reily wish I could give more than 1 thumbs up
Thanks for watching!
Impressive! Excellent work telling the story!
Pray for rain !!!!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍

My goodness! What an amazing and well-made documentary! These are the stories that people need to see
I teared up watching your "Along the Edge" trilogy, and this is just as beautiful and informative
The view counter is missing a few digits though
Keep up the great work
With love from Austria
*Nice equipment, work and vídeo 👍🇲🇽*
from switzerland belle vidéo trés bonnes explications
Merci!
A masterpiece! A beautiful documentary with stunning images. Congratulations!=) You should show the video at a film festival. Cannes is soon again, isn't it? =))
Thanks! The plan is to hopefully get this into some film festivals!
Great video! Out of curiosity, did you plan on doing a video about the Denton Fire?
He wasn’t home during all of that so I doubt we have any footage unless dad got some.
As a fellow farmer from E. Wa I sympathize. We had hopes for this years crop. Great stand coming out of the winter and hopeful for the next 2 weeks of rain that never came. I harvested 90 bushel stubble with 40 bushel grain. P.S. You also have very commie vibes coming fro this video. I wish you'd show the poor farmers of the area and get their input. Not every farmer has new 5-10 year old equipment. Lots of guys are running 40-50+ year old conventional equipment. I know that doesn't make videos for the NYC/LA crowd, but seriously, show the real world concerns of average farmers. Glamorizing the top 10% of farmers doesn't show the reality of the average producer. I'll still keep watching your videos, just know that you're highlighting the exceptions and not the every-man type farmers.
Thanks for watching! Something I probably could have made more clear in the film is the diversity of different producer types featured. There's a vast range from the large operations that run brand new equipment to those who are just starting out with 40-year-old equipment and a lease on some land featured in the film, and all play a part in feeding the world!
I realise he folds are huge but isn’t there any way of getting water to even part of the crop?
Them farm's in the USA make the farms we have here in Ireland look like a garden and not a farm here in Ireland we do a lot of Beef farming and they are grass feed and you can tell when you eat Irish Beef how better it is to cattle that are not.
What crops thrive in montana ? I'm looking to start a garden but not sure what is a good grower here
Peas usually do well here. We have a short growing season so early maturity cool season plants work best.
What is a pulse? That's a crop term I've never heard before.
Pulse crops dry yellow peas, lentils, and chickpeas. They're mostly exported overseas for human consumption but can also be used in pet foods and as ingredients for some meals here in North America.
What a bunch of crap. You like us and everyone else, collected a insurance check and saved the fuel.
