I read an interesting article on the life of Eddie Lacy. Dude has struggled with serious depression and self image issues for most of his life and turned to comfort foods most of the time. When he started getting heavy and people made memes about him being fat is also the time his weight really got out of control. I'm guessing he was getting depressed about the memes and shit and became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

At his best, Lacey was Packer through and through. He was Humble, always fought for more yards, and really seemed to love the game. I loved watching him play. That run against the Cowboys says it all. We were getting our ass kicked, but he still came out playing hard, and sparked that comeback.
I hope he has found peace, will always consider Eddie a Packer.

Rule of Thumb: don’t ever draft a player that has a bigger body type for their position in higher rounds unless they have an obsessive work ethic and are in love with football. It never works out. Eddy Lacy, Kelvin Benjamin, JaMarcus Russell, Ron Dayne etc. If teams want to grab guys later that’s one thing, but anything in the first 1-3rds is too risky.
