    Did you always want your music to sound more... ancient?
    By studying the vast ancient musical heritage, you can discover small gems of wisdom that can fast-forward your lyre playing. Lina Palera and LyreAcademy.com share with us one of these gems!
    Watch this free lesson to see how focusing on just four notes can make your lyre melodies sound so much more "ancient"!
    What you will learn to play is a "Tetrachord", invented by the legendary Greek musician Olympus. It is one of the most widely used scales in Ancient Greece, also called "Spondeion", and was invented during the 7th century B.C. Olympus's influence is so important to music (even to this day), as he was the one who introduced instrumental music into Greece.

      Hello, I am brand new to lyres and was wondering if it is possible to tune any of the Luthieros lyres to sounds like this video? Can a seven or nine string be tuned to play this particular ancient tune?

    • @SEIKILO
      @SEIKILO  Před 3 lety

      Dear Alba. In this video, Lina is talking about a tetrachord, meaning that you only need four strings to play this melody. In that sense, every LUTHIEROS lyre, no matter if it has 7, 9, 11 or 13 strings, can be tuned to play this Spondeion / tetrachord melody! :)
