Showing the finished product requires planning far in advance, but Ive seen it help other planting channels get a lot bigger faster💕 thanks for what you do! God bless❤️❤️❤️😄
I mean you don't really need a fork to get garlic out of the ground. Get dirty and pull it out of the ground. I pull my carrots, beets, onions, radishes out of the ground I don't take the time to dig it up because it is partially exposed and why use a tool when you can skip everything and get it up easier.
Don't take this as an insult, but you look and sound JUST LIKE THE MANAGER GUY FROM BOLT. Thanks for making my day better, you accidentally reminded of my favourite movies as a kid. I know what i'm rewarching tonight
@@mhammer3186 That's called a "Potato Fork", it's used for all tubers and the like that grow underground. It's why it has a curve to it to make uprooting things easier. Whereas a pitchfork is far straighter, the tines are further apart and much longer making it far easier to stick into hay and the like to move and throw it.
Aside from being so helpful with gardening, hes helpful with mood too because he has a lovely and light energy :^) he makes me feel like i can take very easy breaths and smile
My auntie send me a kilogram of garlic and omg I didn’t realize the amount of work and space it can take to make so much garlic. I appreciate my gift even more now
Dang that soil is gorgeous! I live in GA and it's all just red clay here. Getting good dark soil takes a lot of work, and half the time it just grows a mold because its also super humid here 😢 I'm determined to have a garden next year though
I cannot tell you....just how much I appreciate your help and the way you present and share your thoughts and knowledge....I look forward to all of your insights and advice 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
This kind of garlic is cool, but i like the species with the longer stalk and a cluster of flowers on top. The flavor is a bit stronger and the bulb tends to be bigger
This is for soft neck garlic. When you live in a zone that allows for frost tolerant garlic. If you live in a zone 6 or less you need to grow hard neck if you want to have multiple harvests. You can geht a nice garlic harvest if you plant soft neck in the spring and harvest in the fall. But they are harder to braid and cure.
Up here in the Coastal Pacific Northwest CA the tips don’t seem to turn brown like they do farther south. I have to dig around a bulb just a bit to see if the bulbs are matured. The first year up here I kept waiting. The tops never browned much. The cloves started to re-sprout. Now I check the bulbs after they’ve been in the ground over winter. 💝thanks for sharing 👍🏼
OVER the years, I've come to like planter boxes because it's so much easier than discing and rototilling. PLUS amend soils for different plants. Like carrots and beets need some sand,.
P.S. I grew up a migrant, working in the fields, orchards and vineyards; I learned young how to braid garlic in Gilroy & Hollister, where I've live for many decades!!
Hope you didn’t just plant it. For garlic to be successful, it’s planted in fall about 4 weeks before first frost. It overwinters and harvest is spring or summer depending on where you live
My papa used to live in the mountains and had a decent sized garden full of lots of veggies every time I came to visit I would see 2 bunches of garlic hanging from his garage ceiling via twine
We do leave them in the ground until it's stem pretty much dried out. If there is no rain forecasted then it spends some days laying on the ground and later on moved to a well ventilated storage
Great idea, except the green part is an excellent ingredient in some recipes. If I had a garden again, I'd save one or two green stems for cooking. Love your videos because I like to garden and miss it. Living vicariously through your videos
When it comes to onions (and I think also garlic), my grandmother has this trick where she just steps over the stem, leaving the onion/garlic in the dirt, then when everything has dried out, she takes it out of the ground :)
It’s amazing how we know what exact steps to take for gardening. Like how exactly did we know that once out of the ground it’s still not ready? That it needs to be placed in a dark room after? It’s so amazing 🥺
You can get all my garlic recipes here: www.wyseguide.com/ingredient/garlic/

I’m gonna try the Greek style tacos 😋
thanks for the info, never knew garlic had to cure

He always puts me in such a happy mood. Thank you for the info as always
“Just poke it with a small fork” 😂😂😂
He’s actually right it saying that, it’s a small pitchfork.
*pulls out comicaly large fork

Those sneakers are so comfortable. Yep, that’s where my focus was 😊
You’re captivating. Everyone is your life is blessed to receive the beautiful energy you are putting into the world
We would always braid the garlic into a wreath and hang it. It looks aesthetic and it saves space.
Looking forward to part two when the garlic is ready to use, i.e., "cured". Thanks so much!
wow..did you all see the back view? its amazing where this guy lives.

This is so amazing. If we all put a garden in our yards and helped with our excess…. No one would be hungry.
As they zoomed out I got so jealous!!!! I wish I had that much land to grow on especially in full sun!!!
Good to know about the curing! I was going to plant some garlic myself
Wow, i didnt know this. So love your videos bc i learn something new everytime. Thank you sooo very much!
Wow. I learnt a new thing today. I love this side of internet. ❤️
We once planted garlic and when we harvested it it was just the leaves!!😀
you’re actually so helpful and informative. lighthearted and simple, easily accessible info. legend made my day as always
Wow! Didn’t know you had to cure after harvesting! Thank you!

Buy lots of cinnamon powder. It'll protect things from getting moldy.
@@Loganvbills thanks for the tip!
Or maybe you could sell your clay to potters!
Wow! I have been doing this wrong all along! Thank you for your "wyse" voice of experience in the garden and kitchen!
“I just take a small fork”
I love the raised beds. Had those on my farm. Made it so much easier to plant and always have good crops.
I don't know where you live, but it's Beautiful. That sunset 🌇🧡

You know so much and are great at making videos! I love learning about all this as I'm a beginning gardener.
Omg, this is such a coincidence, my parents just planted garlic and we had no idea when to pick them, but now i do!! Thank you :)
The confidence he has is what I neeeeeeeeeed....
Your backyard is gorgeous! Where do you live, in a castle?
Omg I JUST planted my garlic!! Please show us awesome recipes too 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻

Idk why but I'm just fascinated by plants an how certain vegetables are cured an made fresh for us to use or consume
I never knew that. Thank you.

Filipinos call you "Plantito" 😅
It means an uncle who loves plants.
You have a great personality and you look very healthy and physically fit. I bet you have tons of great advice and things to teach. New sub.🙂
You make gardening seem fun and easy! Such positivity!
This person has THE bestest of vibes.
Even when you're pulling garlic out of the ground you are so pleasant.. you're awesome!
Your energy is amazing, as are your tips. Why is it so easy to understand you but others I was lost at “when garlic is ready”?
This kind of garlic is cool, but i like the species with the longer stalk and a cluster of flowers on top. The flavor is a bit stronger and the bulb tends to be bigger
Thanks for your information. Thank you for your energy
This is great! Thankyou!
I've never thought about growing my own garlic before, but after watching this video I am so tempted. ❤️
Thank you for taking the time to make your awesome videos for all of us.
Good looking dirt to grow your garlic.. Thank You for sharing Your Video with us.

......learning lots from you thank you so much?????

enjoy your planting !
I am growing garlic presently...sadly I would have used them as soon as I took it out. Definitely learnt something new... THANK YOU🙏
Trim the roots, brush it all off and braid the leaves together, continuing for your entire crop, you'll end up with a rope of garlic 😊
You can use also the stem is so aroma when you put in soup
Thank you for your help!!
My papa used to live in the mountains and had a decent sized garden full of lots of veggies every time I came to visit I would see 2 bunches of garlic hanging from his garage ceiling via twine
Can we eat those without the curing time? just curious.
Thank you for sharing this.
Thank You Very Much. THIS VID of Yours is SO INFORMATIVE.
God bless you. Greetings from UAE.
Omg i love your channel!!! I rarely subscribe to anyone but I've watched a few of your videos and they're awesome!!
Thank you for the tips!
Great advice, 👌🏼 as per usual. thanks, Kaleb! 😊 🧄
Thanks for the tip I'm doing the studying and prep for the winter and then come spring I'm starting my garden on my dad's property
We do leave them in the ground until it's stem pretty much dried out. If there is no rain forecasted then it spends some days laying on the ground and later on moved to a well ventilated storage
Not me paying more focus than I did on my studies when I know I won't be planting some garlic... 😂

Thousands of year of trial and error. Thankfully the knowledge was passed down! :)
Your voice is so gentle
Life saver! Last year I picked mine too early and couldn't use it
