Once, he was pushing a cart in the supermarket and due to a stroke, he walked with a stagger. Two women saw this and exclaimed, "Would you look at that DRUNK!" This hurt him deeply, and therefore me!
It makes me sick that these people have NOTHING more constructive to do with their precious time on earth than tear others down! Well, when their earthly time is done, it won't be pretty-FOR THEM. Matter of fact my mom was visiting my oldest brother in Wisconsin and when I’d call my mom and talk to her, my brother was sitting there saying disgusting things to me and calling me names. No I’m never going to get used to it but on the other hand just keep in mind that God can dish out punishment far worse than any human can.

I have a lot to say on this subject, so i’ll try to keep this short so it fits in the commennt. I am blind. I haven’t exactly been called uglyy, but I’ve been made fun of for it. A lot of times, people do it because there’s something about themselves that they do not like, or else they’ve had bad experiences with people with disabilities. But still, that does not make it okay by a long shot. I also hate those people who think I’m so incredible and amazing and inspirational just for doing ordinary things. Why can’t I be a person first? I personallly think it’s so cool that they make dolls to represent people with Downs syndrome. I wish they did that for dolls in the lgbtqia+ community, like making gender-neutral accessories for them (not just clothes and stuff). And lastly, as far as feeling that you have to protect Georgia from these cruel, ugly people, there’s nothing wrong with that at all. I have two dolls I play with all the time. They’re not made to look like people with any sort of disability or medical condition; they’re not even reborns, but I’ve had them since I can remember being alive, they are my forever babies. I feel the same way about them as you do about Georgia. As Taylor swift says, the hater’s gonna hate, hate, hate, hate. You ust keep shaking it off! Good for you for continuing to do what you do even with the hatred. That can be hard sometimes.
Go Tori! I stand with you on this. My beautiful 21 year old son has Autism, and he was bullied relentlessly from Junior Kindergarten at 4 years old right up through to graduation from high school. He was brutalized both physically and verbally every single day at school where he should have been kept safe and protected by the adults. He was not, and today I have a very wounded and damaged young man who struggles just to face life. It’s such a shame that people do these kinds of things to people with disabilities or medical conditions. My son works hard every day to grapple with the damage he endured. His life was already more difficult than most because of the challenges of Autism, but now to have all of this hurt and pain to drag around of top of the already existing struggles is heartbreaking to witness as a mother. People honestly either don’t realize or simply don’t care about the immense harm bullying causes. Thank you so much for standing up Tori. Georgia is a doll, but those she represents are very real and vulnerable human beings who deserve our love and compassion, and sadly even more urgently, our protection. As a disabled person I so agree, I have been turning into a lioness all my life since I started school when others get nasty to people who are disabled. My claws are my tongue. What people won't say out loud nowadays to people but think it if they are adults, they definitely still say it around disabled children within hearing or just out of hearing of the parent, though it is getting better. When I was growing up many had no filter at all. Many thought if anything was wrong, eyes, limbs, ears, mute, polio, CP or Downs for instance, you were touched in the head and should be kept away from public. Shame on them! So show sweet Georgia often she is so photogenic, I love seeing her.

As someone with autism and as someone who had a cousin with Down Syndrome… AND as someone who’s lifelong BFF is ADHD… It IS awful to see and hear such comments. But karma will come to them. My TCM littles look “normal” and in fact, I have had more than a few people think that Leatherface’s son was adorable before finding out who his papa was. But my “IT” littles, my Deadlights, well… one is a sleeping 2017 Pennywise and the other is my own character, a son of 1990’s Pennywise and he is awake, showing heterochromia (one blue eye, one yellow/gold eye) and an open, smiling mouth, showing sharp little Deadlight teeth… I love all four of my babies like they’re my own, real, babies even though they are dolls… and I know there are some out there who would call them ugly things because of their horror themes. It would certainly bring out the “mama bear” in me, but I probably would not handle it as gracefully as you seem to…

Why people can't just shut up and scroll on by if they don't like what they see. It's more than that when it comes to a doll that displays a disability. It shows us what that person thinks of people with disabilities especially those that can be seen. The worst part is that it no longer surprises me how rude and cruel-hearted people can be.
