They turned out so pretty. They are Italian provincial style.
Love it
Oh wow ! You transformed those chairs from drab to fab ! They are absolutely beautiful & look so expensive ! And I am a light natural colored wood girl too ! Great job girl !
Hi my name is Rhonda and I absolutely like how you respond back to your viewers. And you did a great job on the chairs !!! Thanks
Natural wood !!!!!! YES, I like the soft warm yellow white paint on the back
They look great what a buy,. Your little boy is adorable.
These are gorgeous! 🥰
And… your little boy is adorable..! One shoe on and one shoe off! 😂🥰😎
Love them- I love the light stain look. I always have loved the raw wood or Scandinavia look. You did a great job!
Natural light…, Great Job!!!
I love these chairs. I never thought to do this to mid century modern chairs. It totally gives it a new look.
Absolutely beautiful!
You are so talented and patient :) love seeing your kiddo hang out with you as you sanded the chairs down!
Love the light look. They really do look high end. Great job
They look incredible.
They look so high end! Gorgeous! 😍
Wow great job! They look sooo good!
Love the light stain♥️ Beautiful💕
Way to go. It looks fantastic!
They turned out amazing!! Congrats!! Love the Natural way look!! 😍
Beautiful !
Beautiful!!!!
You did a fab job, well done.
It’s just perfect!
They would cost a lot of money if you wanted to purchase. I have 2 of the same but with all wicker sides and leather seats. It seems like a lot of work but seeing the results I am thinking it is well worth it for the chairs would cost at least 1k or much more. I love the cane color. I am wondering if a stain or varnish remover would work on the cane instead of sanding then just prime then paint. Definitely will purchase a Dremel sanding kit. lol. They look amazing.
love the natural wood look! they turned out great!!
Thanks Janae! I'm so happy that the wood underneath the stain was so pretty 😍
Amazing! I have two similar but more detailed antique chairs which I like to give a cool/natural country look. This video inspired me with making the plan. I didn't think the detailed sanding would be that hard. Now I need to find a little detail sander like you used. Thanos for sharing!
love them!!!
Soo beautiful!! I love the natural look.
Thank you!! Natural wood has my heart! 😍
Love these chairs!
Thank you!! ❤
The Scandi look is so fabulous!!
I totally agree! I love all things Scandi!
Gorgeous 💖 natural wood I always strip my wood's .
I love it!! I have a dining room set I got at an estate sale with the same backing and I’ve been meaning to reupholster myself since I got them! Such a daunting task but you make everything look SO easy and inspired me to finally go fabric shopping!
Thank you!! It really was super easy! That was my first time reupholstering and it ended up being the easiest and fastest part of the whole chair!
I just got 4 of these for super cheap and was wondering if I could do this, I’m so glad you shared how you achieved this look. Looks so good
What a score!! Yes! Go for it! It was a ton of sanding but so worth it in the end!
Very nice. Like the light stain. You make the upholstering look so easy. It's not as daunting as i thought it would be. Have 4 chairs that I need to reupholster.
Thank you! I was super nervous to start it but it truly is as easy as it looks! You've got this!
That was a great thrift flip! Keep up the great work.
Thanks Brian!
Great job!
Thank you! It was sooooo much sanding but totally worth it!
Wow 🤩
Great job I appreciate your attention do detail…painting is a manicurist passion (I’m a manicurist too). I follow Black Sheep House for lots of great painting tips. I will hopefully inherit some cane back bar stools and I plan to sand and paint them all black for a modern boho vibe. Great job
Thank you! Those bar stools sound like they're gonna be so pretty! I'll have to check out that channel. I'm always up for some painting tips!
Just found your channel. Love your work!
That means so much to me! Thank you!!
We need some more content like this!
Thanks Brian! I do have a couple things in the works!
I like. I subscribed.
I’m super curious how the chairs held up after the DIY? 😊
I think it looks beautiful you did a great job it was well worth it. But please wear a mask when you do any kind of Sanding at all even with this fine steel wool thanks.
Wow! Love the natural color. Did you paint the back of the cane too? Thank you.
You’ve done a great job but, I think they are too pale, I like the frame but the cover and colour of the rattan is too same, same. Perhaps a darker paint or a patterned fabric would have contrasted better for me but, well done it’s still great!.
Awesome. I am doing the same thing right now on the console table. What is the kit you used in between the legs in small cracks? I need that tool. Mary
It's actually a tool used by nail technicians to take off acrylic nails haha! But you can get a Dremel tool and get sanding tips to achieve the same thing!
@@morganpraxhome562 awesome going to order it right now thanks
Where did you buy the Cane?
How are the chairs holding up? Especially painting the rattan on both sides? Is the paint chipping at all?
Hi! Thanks for the question! The paint has not chipped at all! Though these chairs don't really get sat in very often, usually only when we have company over. But rattan is a pretty porous material so as long as you sand it lightly before you paint it, I don't think you'll have a problem with paint chipping!
So no paint ? Just sanding ? I want to fix some chair I have and this is how I want them to look 😃😃
Hi! I used paint on the cane backing part but the wood frame I just sanded down and did a clear top coat! Good luck on your project!
What are these type of chairs called? Anyone know?
Cane chairs
Cute! I would have kept the original cane color. 🚫paint on cane!!
I just went to Joann’s and spent 100$ on fabric. Not affordable what so ever. 🙄
Oh I know! Fabric, especially upholstery fabric is crazy expensive! I was super lucky with this particular fabric because it was marked half off due to some stains on the edges of the fabric and then I had a coupon on top of that! I'm always looking for the sales!
@@morganpraxhome562 Is crazy! Do you mind sharing the name of the actual paint you used?
Hi Morgan! Did you use the clear coat on the cane too?
@@SandraSilva-lg8ws Now that you mention it, I'm pretty sure I forgot to do any kind of top coat on the painted cane!😅 But, the paint has been holding up just fine without one!
I’m about to paint cane and I love the color that you chose, but you never mentioned what color it was. Do you recall the name of the paint by chance? Thank you.
