I think it's because they are good at running. They also seem fairly intelligent. Idk I just love robins. They lean forward like tiny little dinosaurs whenever they run.

This is not the case on continental Europe as people in continental europe kill robins for sport, so they have learnt to be wary of humans. They are called Gardener’s Friend for a reason. They know no matter what we are doing in the garden, there will be a treat. Robins also know the majority of humans won’t harm them or indeed eat them! Quite simply, living by the law (which is doing everything perfectly) is impossible for sinful humans . The law shows us that 1. We will die in Hell if we fail to follow it and 2. We cannot save ourselves BUT, 3. God's perfect, immovable law points us to Christ, who followed and fulfilled the law in thought, word and deed perfectly in our place. I had a baby sparrow flew into my room one day. It felt on my pillow on my bed. I picked him up, pet him and put him outside where the mother was waiting. Best moment of my life.
Some years ago, my father and I picked up a Crimson Rosella, which had flown into the kitchen window, and was in great shock from the awful collision. We carefully placed it on the washing trolley in the sunlight. After a while, it flew off. But curiously, a KING PARROT had been watching us, and came to inspect the spot when Crimson Rosella had originally fallen, then he perched on the trolley to inspect it, and then decided he wanted to be friends. He would come every day, and be fed by hand, get a rub on his front (and how lovingly he would look at us!), and would even come indoors to look for the bag of birdseed. You just never know who or what is observing you, do you, among the wise wild creatures?
Must have flown into a window, poor thing. Here in North America our robins, really a variety of thrush, are similarly bold & friendly, like the true British robins. In Canada we adore them, as they are harbingers of Spring after our long, harsh Winters. 🌷
I love Robins and how cheeky they are. I've several in the garden, usually every year there's the baby/juvenile robins that grow up in front of your eyes. It's lovely to watch them starting out speckled and finally get their infamous scarlet breast colour. The other day I was out and there was one actually wolf whistling at me!. Weirdest thing..I was going .."Now you're too cheeky for your own good mate!". I had one visit me one year, tame as anything and would buzz around me, fly into the greenhouse and not leave my side. They're lovely little birds.
Oh. My. God! That weird bird I once held as a kid might’ve been a baby Robin! I always thought it was some other bird instead, but we could never really find an exact match from what I remember. A baby Robin does look pretty close to how I remember the bird looking, but I’ll have to see the picture again to be sure.
Unfortunately I suspect he had crashed into a window or a car. They get that tired look and are often to out of it to be afraid of humans until they get better.

Yes, clearly in some sort of shock. But that hand of human friendship took him out of it. A very beautiful gesture of kindness, especially to such a tiny and vulnerable little creature 🤗 ❤ x
It's an amazing experience. I wish more people would take the time to meet these little guys. Years of being close to sparrows really is a therapeutic experience of massive proportions, most who have seen me with them are gob-smacked. They're not afraid of you, I think that they just prefer to stay out of your way. Nice video!
Although one has to say that perhaps they need to be slightly more wary of us. About thirty years ago I was in a group of people working outside and robin's were flying nearby. One landed about ten ft away. Someone picked up a two-pronged piece of broken branch and threw it at him and killed it! To this day I wish I'd knocked some of his teeth down his throat!!
Robin's are very spiritual creatures... A Robin came to my kitchen window around the same time every day he would look so calm and stay for about half hour then fly off.. ... This went on for at least two weeks I was expecting to see him but he didn't turn up..... I got a phone call that day to say my dad had passed away he had been I'll for some time. I feel sure this beautiful little bird was giving me a sign, making me smile for 2 weeks before I had to shed tears .......
Here in Britain, robins are often seen as messengers from loved ones who have passed away. That’s why we have the saying “when a robin appears, a loved one is near”
@@vaahtobileet That's your believe and you have that right but I don't agree with you animals have to use instincts they're out in the wild all year round and become much wiser than you and I could ever be.
Pity you didn't speak softly to him, the way they turn their little head to listen is a joy. They follow me in the garden and have landed on my knees while sunbathing, not to mention coming into the kitchen and perch on the back of the chair. A lovely fat little bird his redbreast is quite warming, especially at Christmas!
I'm pretty sure it's stunned, not brave. Robins don't just sit still like that, normally. Almost certainly, this one is recovering after flying into a window.
Maybe he was dehydrated? They never that friendly. We have a couple of robins who are like our pets, follow us around the garden and even come inside but we were never able to stroke them. You're so sweet and gentle person. Thank you for sharing this. ❤
this is so cool - whether the birdie was dazed, or completely trusting, how fortunate he was to be able to touch the silky feathers of that adorable little pebble of a bird. this clearly is the male version of snow white. 🤴🏻 unless he was duping us all, and that’s actually his pet! 😂😅
These are the most amazing birds! Every year there are fewer and fewer 😪 we need to Protect birds more otherwise we’ll lose them being part of our world.
Poor guy was probably having a major concussion moment after hitting a window or the building itself. Glad he flew away, small birds regularly fracture their skull or break their necks smashing into windows
I once found a robin in my garden who had been attacked by a cat. I picked it up in my hands to put it in a safe place and it was the tinyest fluffiest thing I had ever touched 🥺 sadly it died a couple of hours later but I did everything I could to help it feel better
I love Robins. They always cheer me up. As a boy I remember helping my Dad unfreeze something under the car bonnet (it had snowed). Along came a Robin and landed on the car roof. I was awe struck and not expecting it to, but held out the palm of my hand for it to land on. To my delight it did and sat there for what seemed a very long moment. Me trying desperately not to shudder with the cold so as not to disturb it’s perch. I shall never forget that experience, nor subsequent experiences in the garden with these lovely creatures who are often right by you when digging, which is a bit of a worry when I’ve been using a spade!
I found a robin in my feeding tree last winter. He wouldn't eat from the lard balls, coconut, tiny sunflower seeds, or peanuts. Robins' beaks are not hard enough. They need a different diet. So I gave him soft old wrinkly garden apples, and meal worms. 😘👍
He must have just hit a window. This is what birds do when they survive a non-fatal window collision, and are not seriously injured. They sit quietly, in shock, until they recover well enough to fly away.
My grandmother believed they were dead loved ones come back to visit. She had a whole family of them around her when she did her gardening and they even used to hop into the house to see what she was doing. Think they only live a year or so but she'd always have new ones behave the same way for years
Theyre my favourite garden birds for sure. Theres one in my back garden that comes into my shed whenever im working on stuff. She sits right up on the vice and stays there for around an hour at a time. Thats been happening for the past 3 or 4 years now i think
I gather this little beauty has been helped before by humans and had become tame. Once recovered it must have followed natures way but not forgotten the kindness of certain humans. There's no stress to be detected, even when you pick the little one up. It just as easily "takes place" sitting on your finger !! A lovely thing to see. 👍. God bless 💝 you and your extended ones. And be sure to have a nice day 💐. Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
Simply lovely, he is wanting to be your friend, looks perfectly healthy and handsome, yep in uk too they can become very friendly when they can trust you, its a wonderful delight, thank-you for showing 😊have a great day 😊
Just come across this video, 10 years old. I've 2 robins in my garden, they come close to feed, hopefully I'll get this close one day, it's their choice. Beautiful birds
We usually get 2 in winter time as they start to meet a mate in the spring ,they are my fav oriented bird ,I love it when garden is they always come very close within a foot of me ,they are I think one of the cutest bird in the UK
Had most likely crashed against a window "mirror image of the sky" it is foggy, almost unconscious, and has no natural fear! One of the best "singers" in the springtime! Put Robin on a place where Cats and Craws can't fine him! Near you, or in that dense tree or hedge! After a while it will fly away again! Nice if you can keep an eye on it for an hour!
"well love it was like this - I was sitting on a bench having a rest when these five giant worms came up and started petting me, then they picked me up" "have you been drinking again"
I had a similar experience with a sparrow once when I lived in a bed-sit. It flew into the open window and when I calmed down, I went over to the dresser it was on and put out my hand, talking softly to it all-the-while. Eventually, it came and sat in my hand and I took it over to the window, still sitting in my hand, and it sat there for some time before it decided to fly off.
One of the most beautiful of gods little creatures. I've seen them land on hands for grub, but that particular one, is probably the tamest, I've even seen. Well done, hope he/she gets plenty of healthy goodies from you.
the bird is in shock from most likely hitting a wall, you can tell by the way its facing one direction like a statue until it starts "waking up" and looks around more
No. When they're stunned they pant with their beaks open. This guy looks perfectly calm. They certainly don't perch on fingers like this one did. Robins are very friendly and intelligent enough to work out humans aren't threats to them.
@@mad8805 does your intelligence limit you to write something constructive that makes sense, like the guy above you or you were just having a bad day when you wrote this cause you got grounded?
the robins eyes were closing... quick search and ill birds close their eyes. also they took a shit when the human grabbed them.. must have been shit scared... gentle though you were with the bird.
Goinng to aim for this soon, over the last two weeks made friends with two Robins who always coem and sit close to me while I have been digging in my garden, and they seem very trusting of me and possibly recognize me, as today when sat on a wooden fence with me only about 2 feet away as I talk to them , the post man came and they flee off as soon as he entered the garden which was a bout 4 metres. Would love to get the little darlings to eat from my hand and even better to sit on my finger.
The connectedness of all life on our planet is a joy to behold. Wouldn't like to prove it with an alligator though! These are fabulous videos and an antidote to all the doom and gloom some of the media like to bombard us with on a daily basis!
Beautiful. I thought that I was lucky having a robin feed close to me and perching on my knee sitting in the garden, but this video tops that! He seems to like being stroked. Saint Frances of Assisi couldn't do better. ☺
He's clearly in a shock - may have had hit the building. But it's good that he felt better soon and came back to his friends😊
Pilot Mike, look at bird bath
I thought the same thing. It isn't normal behaviour for a bird. It's not as though it is being enticed by food. Glad it was ok though.

... This went on for at least two weeks I was expecting to see him but he didn't turn up.....
I got a phone call that day to say my dad had passed away he had been I'll for some time.
I feel sure this beautiful little bird was giving me a sign, making me smile for 2 weeks before I had to shed tears .......
Yes that happens amazing.also happened prior to my dad dying. A wonderful experience.
Here in Britain, robins are often seen as messengers from loved ones who have passed away. That’s why we have the saying “when a robin appears, a loved one is near”
@@theotheseaeagle I have a plaque with the saying " when a robin appears loved one's are near" it hangs in my hall by my front door!
Christ, it's just an animal. There's no connection.
This bird gotta old soul. He was a human in a past life so he knows the drill.
So they say, a close departed member of your family...it's a nice thought as both mum and dad died this year.
The birds know when you love them.
I love helping wee birds that fly into glass. This is so cute.
Absolutely charming , yes , he is a brave little bird , well done !
sehr gut gemacht, würde ich sagen. Wie schafft man es so ein Vertauen zu diesen Tieren zu schaffen?
The Robin is a she not he
It was very stressful for the bird, it even shat.
Robin was sick hope he survived.
Read the description he flew away after the video
It was fine. Very friendly
I tend to agree. I've been close to robins for many years, and I've never seen one behave like this unless there's something wrong.
@@Saucemeister07 Description is fake. The bird had 2 broken wings.
I get the feeling he might have flown into the window and needed a little rest to recover.
His mates back at the tree are NOT gonna BELIEVE that story when he tells them what happened to him that day!
So beautiful So cute and So innocent ❤😘☺️❤️🥰❤️😍😘❣️
pootis bird is real THE PROFECY IS REAL
this is so cool - whether the birdie was dazed, or completely trusting, how fortunate he was to be able to touch the silky feathers of that adorable little pebble of a bird. this clearly is the male version of snow white. 🤴🏻
unless he was duping us all, and that’s actually his pet! 😂😅
These are the most amazing birds! Every year there are fewer and fewer 😪 we need to
Protect birds more otherwise we’ll lose them being part of our world.
Poor guy was probably having a major concussion moment after hitting a window or the building itself. Glad he flew away, small birds regularly fracture their skull or break their necks smashing into windows
I wish to have this experience. So cute! You are a lucky man
I once found a robin in my garden who had been attacked by a cat. I picked it up in my hands to put it in a safe place and it was the tinyest fluffiest thing I had ever touched 🥺 sadly it died a couple of hours later but I did everything I could to help it feel better
Hahaha. What a story, Mark!
😘👍
Beautiful Heavenly Angel 🕊️
God I love Robin's so much. I've had a robin come near me but never that close. So lucky.
Really easy to train a robin with live meal worms Steven. Plenty of videos on how to do it. I train one every year.

Think they only live a year or so but she'd always have new ones behave the same way for years
It's so cute! and brave bird !😻😍
Beautiful little robin, hope he was ok and had a long happy life producing loads more robins, they are lovely little birds
The most beautiful bird imo.. and a wonderful song he sings.😊
Theyre my favourite garden birds for sure. Theres one in my back garden that comes into my shed whenever im working on stuff. She sits right up on the vice and stays there for around an hour at a time. Thats been happening for the past 3 or 4 years now i think
Gorgeous little bird. ❤
Sincerely in Christ Jesus,
Window strike. You are awesome for your gentle compassion. Bravo!
Lucky you, what a priviledge it is to so close to this lovely little bird

robin: yes, i am cute. you can pet me!
I love robins, they are so beautiful and feisty little birds, festive too
yes and welcome if the cats don,t kill them
I saw a cat get a full grown starling once, if they say a bird can’t scream they’s lyin

Simply lovely, he is wanting to be your friend, looks perfectly healthy and handsome, yep in uk too they can become very friendly when they can trust you, its a wonderful delight, thank-you for showing 😊have a great day 😊
Just absolutely adorable video and very cute little Robin absolutely gorgeous little birds

Robins are beautiful, curious little birds & not afraid of being around humans… I’ve not seen one being stroked before though, that is quite special!
I too had the honour of feeding a robin from my hand twice. So sad they only live for a very short time.
Robins ar gorgeous one of my best birds then I do likethe black birds they sing beautifully. ❤
Awww, cute little thing ❤️
As a former robin I can confirm, that this person is a good one.
Yes, looks like it was stunned so in shock. Hope it just needed a bit of time to recover & fly away ❤️

1:35 to 1:40 You're living my childhood dream.
"well love it was like this - I was sitting on a bench having a rest when these five giant worms came up and started petting me, then they picked me up"
"have you been drinking again"
I had a similar experience with a sparrow once when I lived in a bed-sit. It flew into the open window and when I calmed down, I went over to the dresser it was on and put out my hand, talking softly to it all-the-while. Eventually, it came and sat in my hand and I took it over to the window, still sitting in my hand, and it sat there for some time before it decided to fly off.
Thus was a beautiful moment. I really loved it.

Rest in peace.. knowing how much years robin lives.
"I have mastered the art of standing so incredibly still....that I become invisible to the eye. Watch." - Robin
He looks weakened. Maybe he hit the wall and was feeling kinda dizzy
No. When they're stunned they pant with their beaks open. This guy looks perfectly calm. They certainly don't perch on fingers like this one did. Robins are very friendly and intelligent enough to work out humans aren't threats to them.
Dude you’re the only one feeling kinda dizzy if u think he looks weakened, get your eyes checked

the robins eyes were closing... quick search and ill birds close their eyes. also they took a shit when the human grabbed them.. must have been shit scared... gentle though you were with the bird.
Delightful = Love it 💕

ROBIN...SWEET...BEAUTIFUL👏👏👏
That was amazing ! Thank you for being kind to him! I noticed he enjoyed you touching him, it was soothing to him/her ❤
Beautiful little sweetheart ❤️❤️❤️
I love birds❤thei kittle feet feel funny on your hands just cuteness❤
It looked a bit unwell or stunned it’s good it was found by a gentle caring person who gave it time to recover
I know that they can be tame but I've never seen anything like this before.
Perhaps it bonked into the window above the bench, and was waiting for the world to stop spinning.
@@feuerling could very well be.
