Keep in mind that the lonely, weird, uncomfortable part is the part that helps you grow. Itâs all part of the journey â€
As someone who went from living with a sibling to living alone, itâs a hard transition to make so give yourself grace and allow yourself to feel all the things. My therapist told me to look at this as an opportunity to truly figure out yourself: what you like and want separate from the influence of people around you
Wow! Love this!
I'm 33 and I've been living on my own for about 4 years now. And let me tell you, you're going to look around one day when it's quiet and you're alone and have that epiphany that you did that. That is YOUR place, your hard work, your effort. You're going have friends and family over and feel PROUD to have them. And then you'll have that peace and quiet with your morning coffee, watering your plants, playing with Chloe or just watching TV when you're learning to be your own friend, learning more about yourself as an independent human being.
I PROMISE baby girl... You're going to realize this is one of the greatest adventures of your life. đ
Wow!! Well saidâŠ. Went thru the same n feel the same so no need to repeat what this comment had to say â€đ
Wow! Thank you so much for this! I think I really needed to hear that!
Very true! It's one of the most peaceful and rewarding times of life too.
Have Chloe there with you at night and bring her to Alishas during the day, and slowly transition thay way. Dogs are amazing, she can help you in this journey!
I moved out by myself for the first time this past December and let me tell you the crying is normal, the uncomfortableness is normal, the being lonely is normal. Once you get used to it and find your groove in your new place it slowly goes away and then you end up loving it (at least I did, I love living alone more than I liked living with a roommate.) you got this đ
this is the reality of moving out that we don't usually see with others living alone vlogs. we get you ashley. *hugs*
Thank you!
I moved out at 26 and SOBBED the first day. Change is overwhelming and your feelings are valid!! Filling a new space with love and memories makes a house a home. You got this! â€
I know how you feel. When my little sister moved out of our parents house 2.5 hours away, I was sad too. I was so used to my partner that I lived with my whole life, my weekend shopping partner, our random week day lunches and dinner together.. it was tough, I remember visiting her a lot the first few months, but eventually I got used to the time apart and appreciated the time together. Itâs hard. That bond with a sister is strong.
I was crying with you in this video. I felt exactly the same way when I moved out on my own. As you begin to make your place your own, it will get easier. I canât wait to see how both you and Alisha grow through this and make your homes uniquely yours.
Ugh.. I know you're right!
I am so happy that you're making these moving videos right now. I have lived in Texas my entire life and I now live with my boyfriend and our 2 rescue pups. We spontaneously decided to move to Colorado a few months ago. Our moving day is approaching very fast and I am catching myself randomly overcome with emotion. I'm not the kind of person that's big on change so I am absolutely terrified of what our life is going to be like. At first I was so excited to live in another state but now I am so scared of leaving my family. Anyway, I really appreciated this video. Thank you.
Itâs okay to be sad. Grief doesnât happen in just sad times alone, grief can just come with transition. I cried when I got married and had my first baby- both very happy times but also sad because I was grieving âwhat once wasâ. Itâs okay for you to feel these feelings. They will pass with time đ
Wow! Soo well said!
Omg Chloe and Rosie at the end cuddling with each other đ„șđ„șđ„șâ€ïžâ€ïž
aw Iâm so happy for you!! Vicariously living through you since I wonât be moving out from home for a while. also LOVE the fact you vlog number is like a âstartâ of a new year! â€
It took me a few months to get used to living alone! Donât worry đđđ Itâs so worth it to do the hard work of confronting yourself more fully.
It will be lonely for a while but you will adjust â€
But u have Chloe.
I hope that youâre so proud of yourself! Thank you for sharing. I feel like no one ever talks about this. I think that once you create memories here, itâll start to feel like home & so natural đ
Iâve been living on my own for a little over a year now and the first month was definitely the hardest. While I still sometimes feel lonely I also am so grateful to have a homey and safe space that I can call my own. Iâve also grown and learned so much about myself. Your feelings are totally valid and itâs okay to grieve your old self while looking forward to what the future holds â€
Don't let your nerves get the best of you. I know being alone is scary, but you're going to look back and appreciate this part of your life. You've got this!
You're so right!
when you cried I cried with you girl !! đđđ You are doing amazing & absolutely love watching you grow !!!! đđđđđđđđđđđđđđđ
Congrats on your new life chapter. This emotional phase may be your soul rejoicing that you have more space to call your own. Don't be scared to express your self and expand your own energy into the new home âšïž It took me ~2 years to be comfortable to dance/frolic in all spaces of my apartment and I wish I hadn't limited my growth in that way đż
You're so right!
Thank you for being so authentic & real đ„čđ„č we love ashley . You going to get thru this đđđ sending you love and hugs !
I LOVE LOVE watching your moving vlogs! We moved at the exact same time and I feel you. I feel like I cannot relax or take a breath until it really feels like home. But weâll get there. Ones everything is in place and we have our routine back, weâll slay. Youâre doing great! Love ya â€
hi ashley, idk if you'll see this but i wanted to say that i felt exactly the same way as you about moving!! i moved out at 23 and i have a veryyyy close connection to my sister who stayed at our old place. i cried everyday in my new home and i thought i'd never feel safe and comfy there :( but what helped me was spending as much time there as possible and unpack everything, decorate etc. to make it feel nice and cozy! i've lived here for 1 year now and i love it and i wouldn't want to move back to my old home
Ashley, you are unstoppable! We love you so much! Thank you for just being you na doing what you need and want for yourself, that's hard!! You've got this!
this is all a part of growing up, and you're doing so well Ash! making your place feel like a home is the number one priority in making you feel comfy and happy in your new space! candles, family/friend photos, blankets & taking time to take care of you!!! sending you so much love
Love the vulnerability. You got this, Ash! I've been in the same place (& still regularly feel homesick), but you will adjust and slowly love it.
I live with my family still and I always am so excited for the chance I have the house all to myself but then I realize I feel so lonely. Just knowing someone is in the house even if Iâm not interacting with them is comforting. Definitely understandable how you feel but you will end up loving it. Super excited for all your vlogs in the new place!
es super dificil vivir solo pero despues que te acostumbras lo disfrutaras muchisimo ashley ANIMO!!! UNA FAN MEXICANA!!!!
Ashley, love how often you have been uploading lately! Probably the best part about your move (for us, your supporters) is that we get to see you more often here on CZcams âșïžđ
I love the desk and your place looks amazing
sending you all the love and hopefulness â„ïž
I hope you know that we're proud of you! It's also really comforting that you're showing the difficult side of moving alone. đ§žđ
On a positive note, your new place looks so good! Youâve decorated it so well!
Also, where is that blanket holder from?
I have moved so many times in my life. And it is an adjustment every time. When you start having get togetherâs, and people over for game nights, sleep overs, and partyâs, it will get better. Youâll make memories and it will fell like home in no time. My favorite memory in my current place is my niece took her first steps in my kitchen. Also all the family nights I have hosted in my 900 sq foot space đ
I love you, you are so pure. God bless you, everything will be okay â€
Love it Ash đ
Thank you for sharing I'm now super motivated to decorate my home
This is so comforting! I just moved to college and Iâm not even that far from home but I miss it so much! I feel like I canât recharge unless Iâm there and Iâm going through the same thing!
Sis my jaw DROPPED when I saw that desk!!! Incredible, Iâm obsessed with your style!!!â€
u will be okay soon, stay positive đ„čđ«¶đ», keep going love uu đ«¶đ»
Awww Ash! đ„șđ„șđ„șđ„ș
Iâm 28 and Iâve be living on my own since 7 years ago and hopefully it gets better for you Ashley
love the vibe in this new house ash
I love your l-shaped desk, a nice color in the room!
Stay strong Ash. Iâm still sad too because live far from my best friend. Itâs so nice to reunited with ur sister and taryne. Itâalso nice that Lexi visited u. The dogs are so cute sleeping together. And all the decorations you bought are so cute.đ€đ€
hi ashley đ„° have a good day!
iâve been living alone since losing my dad in December! it definitely has it pros & cons but i do believe everyone needs to experience it!!
Itâs just change, itâs exciting and exhilarating but leaving what you knew best behind (not literally or entirely) can come with those random cries and confusion. Youâre learning yourself for however many times in your life now but enjoy it, the tears, the laughs, THE SPACE! Whether thatâs separation or just simply opening the fridge and your favorite juice is still there lol. Proud of your openness and Iâm more then happy for you â„ïž
You got this!! đȘđŸđ
I feel you/ my brothers only lived with me for 1 month and when they left I cried so much. The emptiness made me so sad.
girl donât you worry. youâre gonna be thriving in your new place (you already are) but that feeling will come and youâre gonna loveeeee
It takes time love
I relate to this. I also moved out at 32 after living with my mom and sister my whole life. It was really hard in the beginning and took me a long time to adjust. Fast forward two years and Iâm moving in to my boyfriendâs house and Iâm going to miss living alone a bit. Congrats on the new place!
You got this đâ€â€â€â€ it was hard for me at first but overtime it gets better
Try taking morning walks with fresh air / music and the dog !!
Hi! I'm so happy for you!!!
it's always rough when leaving home and settling into a new place
Sending hugs to you.
đ đ thanks for your comments, more videos coming đ. Kindly send me a direct message, i have got something for youđđđŠ

IM IN LOVE WITH THAT DESK!!!đđđ WHERE? HOW MUCH!?
hey girl! friendly heads up that the miyokos butter has been getting moldy extremely quick lately. many people are having this issue. sending all my love đ«¶đŒ
omg where is that desk from, I LOVE IT
Oh my heart, Ashhhhhh! Sending you so much love & good energy. I was totally the same way when I moved out. Knew that it was a step in the right direction but ripped a hole in my heart at the same time. You got this!
Aw ash I feel you! Iâve been living alone for around two years and sometimes still feel like this! But sometimes Iâm like hell yeah I can run away from everybody and come home to peace and quiet lol
When my brother moved out, I definitely cried and cried! It felt so empty, I know being alone is scary. But you will grow and learn more about your self! SO PROUD OF YOU ASHLEY!
It took me like 3 months before I started feeling comfortable when I first moved out on my own. Having friends over and playing music/podcasts/audiobooks really helped.
I need to know where you got your bar utensil set thing with the wooden holder! It is so cute!!!!
I love this transparency and we are all rooting for you Ashâ€â€
When I first move out on my own I went through a roller coaster of emotions excitement turned into doubting but after sometime and got use to meals and my own schedule it got easier , also moved out right as covid hit so that was extremely hard .. but itâs okay and totally normal to feel how you feel đ€
Hey, lots of love from India
I recently moved alone too and I totally get all the feelings Ashđ But soon it will get better and you'll get used to it for sure. The nights are the weirdest, I knowđ€§ But what I do to feel better is just call my boyfriend or my family and talk to them or even not hang up just to feel like they are there. At least until you get used to it more đ„ș Thank you for always making great and inspiring videos for usđ
Taren looks so happy & healthy đ„°
I have those salt and pepper grinders! Heads up, they do get messy lol, we have ours on a plate so it doesnât get all over the counter
So not alone! When I moved to live alone it took adjusting to a new normal. Take it a day at a time!:)
It will get better trust me!
i want to share with you Ash that I am going through a lot of changes right now too. connecting with people has always kept me grounded and inspired. this helps me so much to see you relate. thank you đ€
and i am so beyond happy for you. and both of us really. everything out of love đ€ much love for you the more and more i watch your videos and get to know you more
Itâs better that itâs a choice, you still have the opportunity to come back and take the time you need to process the change, I know you can do this, this opens up a whole new chapter of your life, love you đ
You got this girly! Rooting for you! Random, but do you have a link for that office rug?! đ
đ đ thanks for your comments, more videos coming đ. Kindly send me a direct message, i have got something for youđđđŠ
i just moved out of my parents house leaving my room that was my safe space for 19 years and it took a little bit to feel and create my safe space again but you will get used to it and love it soon
đ đ thanks for your comments, more videos coming đ. Kindly send me a direct message, i have got something for youđđđŠ
I had always lived with someone up till last year when I got my own apartment. Those first couple of months sucked, the silence felt overwhelming and isolating. But once you adjust to it, you will thrive. It was the best decision I could have made! Enjoy these moments!!!
đ đ thanks for your comments, more videos coming đ. Kindly send me a direct message, i have got something for youđđđŠ
holy shit i have literally the same feelings.
i CHOSE to move elsewhere for college and it hurts now and its so hard to deal with cause i feel so alone.
I love the apartment! Just a suggestion, the stool would look so much better in place of the chairs and them replacing the stool- itâll really tie the room in together! (I think ofc)
Just FYI- air dry the table runner if you ever go wash it.
Love your dining room table. Is that west elm? Looking good girl.
Change is always hard. Remember why you made this decision! For growth and the start of a new chapter!! Being alone is good, for both of you. Even with the distance, this move will bring you two closer together and stronger! Your lives are still together and youâll see each other all the time! Deep breaths and good cries! â€
I have a twin sis and she moved to another country at first, it was hard but with time we adapted to the situation because we wish our best to each other đ
It's okay to cry and feel weird.
đ đ thanks for your comments, more videos coming đ. Kindly send me a direct message, i have got something for youđđđŠ
Ashley, it's OK. You are gonna get used to it and start enjoying! Give yourself time to adopt)
We love you Ash.đ This is a start to an amazing journey! You are doing amazing.đđ
Where did you get that desk? Iâm in love đ
You guys are going to be closer then ever now that you guys live apart but it will be tough
where is your dining table from?? looks so gorgeous
Can you please tell me where your dining tables from? I'm obsessed with it so pretty
Can you link the blanket holder you have next to your couch?
It felt empty too when I first moved out , really close to my family so it felt foreign but as you fill up the house it will get better!!!
That desk is so beautiful! I canât wait to see more moving/decorating vlogs.
I swear it takes three months before anywhere feels like home.
When i moved out of my parents house to live by myself, it didn't feel like home for a few months. But then it felt like home and my parents' house felt strange to me. Just give it time, dont worry â€ïž
Omg Iâve been soooo obsessed with the Waterloo drinks!! I currently have strawberry (love it) and the summer berry is really good too! Happy to see youâre turning your home together and I know youâll get through this!
What was the thing that you baked at the end? It looks delicious.
5:04 nice
Everything will be okay Ashleyđ
It just takes time
too relatable (emotional breakdowns per se on periods)
đ đ thanks for your comments, more videos coming đ. Kindly send me a direct message, i have got something for youđđđŠ
Where are the office chairs from? They are stunning
Ok I need to know where that desk is from, where your gold hoops are from and where that green tank is from. Thanks!
