0:05 still no mention of plugshare, please promote this platform more, as journalists this is important to spread awareness about finding charging locations. Most people still live in the 2010 myth that there is no charger in india whereas there are more than 5000+ DCFC locations and more than 7000+ AC charging locations for a total of 12000+ chargers across India.
Most people don't know this because they don't make the conscious effort to search for charging infra by asking owners or searching themselves. They think "I am not going to buy EV anyway, so why bother to search for infra" and when you ask why not buy EV they say "no chargers" -- when in fact it is their ignorance which led to be stuck in this vicious cycle

in slow charging, charging speed is not throttled after 80%, that is only for DC fast charging scenario.
Balancing occurs AFTER 100% SoC is reached so keeping the car plugging in even after 100 for 20-30min is fine
The current problem is people don’t even know much about EVs and making weird rumours :-)

Just a point to keep in mind for future videos
When anyone says “charging infra is getting better” the first retort we get is “then where are those chargers, I can’t see any”
So instead of letting people raise question after mentioning a point, give them the answer to it alongside, so that there is no doubt in first place
Better to clarify beforehand in vid itself that “charging infra is available and can be checked on so and so app/website” rather than omitting the part about locating chargers

there are more than 1 lakh petrol pumps in india... also it would take 1.2 hours to fully charge an ev giving range of around of 250 kms... what if im going on a 500 kms road trip for example i live in pune and my sisters married home is hydrabad and we go there every 2 months... what would i do if my car is put of charge?? should i wait for 1.2 hours in a road trip of almost 10 hours???... ice cars were are and will practical till eternity...@@shresthsonkar9207

As you said in the video that special ev meters are less costly than regular. What is the procedure to apply for the ev meter in Maharashtra?
MSEB at the moment doesn’t have a dedicated car EV meter for personal use. Tata Power, Adani and other private players offer this service

I rarely take out my Brezza as most of the work is getting done with k10..so plan is to replace with tiagoEV for daily commute and keep k10 as backup.

Recharging multiple chargers wallet wastes a lot of money. This should be changed to direct UPI payment.
I am having money in multiple applications wallet.
I have also faced an issues with the chargers like the amount which i gave an input of was not allowing (jio pulse), charger mentioned in the official application didn't exists (chargezone).

What are the side effects of sitting in car with ac running in ac & dc charging?
nothing, ac compressor is shared for cabin and battery cooling system, so anyway even if you are not inside the car and using ac, if the temperature is hot enough, the car will automatically use battery cooling.
if you sit in car and use AC, then your charging rate may be faster by few kilowatt as the battery is at ideal temperature

Kona ev also has same system, the battery cooling chiller is same as the one used by ac. You can search “kona ev cooling system diagram”, you will get many results including teambhp and official Hyundai docs

Last week i travelled ~300kms one way non stop due to emergency.. i returned same day after 3 hours. So total 600kms with 1 stop of around 10 mins for refueling.. EVs cant give this flexibility as of now. EVs are still far from being a primary car. Had i owned an EV, travel time would have been increased by 2 hours easily
Most EVs have 300km Range today. So in your 3 hours - your car could have been charged
@@motoroctane i went to a village for someone's last ceremony. i dont think i will find a dc charger there. most probably i had to use my own charger which wont be sufficient for return trip for sure.
