This suit is awesome! Hopefully we continue to see future technology surface more rapidly in the new space age.
It'll be interesting to see it used in vacuum; the older suits were like stiff balloons when they were pressurized.
I think the suit was pressurized for demonstration. You can see the umbilical cord
Speaking host, lacked on physical demo interior features, including the model actor speaking 🔊back in audio demo. Also no demo with UV optical filtering on the head visor. That dude would've microwaved his head🥵 +gears, non-reflecting color heating up♨️ 😓 on the moon & exo orbit space.
Can it withstand a *mach3* 🪨 impact? NO!? it's a typical encounter weather of hale + solar storm & 1inch/month average *ground shift* ( moon quakes). Lolz Those opening cap⚙ at the feet are just as funny, in those late Hercules 20t'h century movies, of little people removing it off a giant.
@@rolflandale2565 Ah yes, a random CZcams commentor has better design skills than an army of geniuses.
@@rolflandale2565 Your reply reads like someone took a chatgpt response and put it through Google translate 10 times, then proceeded to tell an 8 year old to add emojis before finally getting it reviewed and edited by a chimpanzee
@@rolflandale2565the moon is insanely reflective, i don’t think the black suit is a big issue.
smile and wave boys , smile and wave
I'm waving 👋🏿 are you waving? 😊😁
Awesome!! I'm 39 years old and would love to see man walk on the moon in my life time.
Yea it would be such an amazing first accomplishment since we never been
@@Buddyguy1988 Yeah that would be such an amazing feat for man kind
@@alexhudson- I’m a recent moon conspiracy guy. I don’t believe any of this space shot after all the flukes I’ve seen on nasa videos
@@Buddyguy1988 nah
Many times before
Chang and indian rovers have confirmed
@@desmond89 It’s like I’m an objective person I do not think everything is conspiracy but I’ve seen quite a bit of trickery from their space stuff so I am cautious. Honestly I don’t know.
The Armageddon Asteroid suits are still the GOAT 🐐
Ya that movie is way better too!
Liked the prometheus units personally
yeah show it off girl. So cool how they added joints on the knees of this suit now they can really bend over and get down there.
You can see how much better this suit is over the xEMU NASA unveiled years ago. Much slimmer and lighter whilst maintaining the same principles.
And it’ll be used for both the moon and LEO
The exoskeleton settings should scale to gravity constant
It's not a powered exoskeleton
@@Manuelomar2001 not yet…
Arms look funny but there is an obvious reason for that 😂
Can someone explain why to me :D
@@sarveshahuja2385 To stop them from fapping in space 💦 lol
Did you see the segment with the kids? Super cringe! Astro....not!
@@chosenjuan3170 "astro not" 😐
@@sarveshahuja2385 Keeping articulation when its fully pressurized.
They could add external Exoskeleton in the leg. (for more balance)
was ist pressurized with 1bar overpressure ( as it would be in vacuum) for this demonstration?
All spacesuits up to today have only been pressurized to the partial pressure of oxygen at sea level, which is about 0.3 bar. This greatly improves mobility and reduces muscle exhaustion in these suits. To prepare for a spacewalk one must purge all nitrogen from the bloodstream which requires breathing pure oxygen for some time. For Apollo astronauts the spacecraft were already at this low pressure. On the space shuttle (where they could lower ambient pressure for all aboard) they had to breath oxygen for 45 minutes, and on the ISS (always sea level pressure) for 4 hours.
@@JamesPerkins ok thanks for the explanation, , but even 300 millibar overpressure would make a big difference for the demonstration on stage
Those opening caps at the feet are just as funny, in those late Hercules 20t'h century movies, of little people removing it. No demonstration with UV optical filtering on the head visor. That dude would've microwaved his head + gear color heating.
Astronaut suit - chest day is the way
Cant wait for those high definition camera moon walks live from da moon in spayce
Not just HD, but they’ll be live. Can’t wait
Will say that it is a vast improvement over what they had when we last went to the moon! The one thing I don't like is if I am correct seems like they need someone to button them up! Would be nice if you can get in a suit and secure yourself! Maybe they do have some type mechanism to do this, I hope so!
@@dropndeal Because when Xenomorphs attack and kill off your entire crew, you'd wish you could button up your own space suit.
A7L couldn't be donned by one astronaut, either, but space exploration is a team sport so it's generally not a major requirement for EVA suits.
Space exploration is a team sport.
Cool suit.
Make the staff a pogo stick lol.
can't see this ever happening and why does Jim keep waving?
Probably because he is happy
why?
The audience waving at him, I guess.
He definitely looked like he was having a great time.
Look at Jim in his mickey mouse suit 😂😂
I like the built in Chad pose.
COME AT ME MOON BRO
💗👽💗
Black and With ❤️
Looks like the suit in Armageddon (1998)
what? looks literally nothing like it :D
Kangaroo is what they're were going for 😂 yes that one you're thinking of
I'm thinking more buzz lightyearish
How much does it cost?
probably like 0.00001% of what the us military spends every 5 seconds
@@RetoskiCat And yet the military serves a purpose…
@@Mautiks of converting middle eastern children into a fine powder/bullying other countries into compliance lmao
@@Mautiks ...of bombing middle eastern children into a nice red slush and then covering it up
Millions I have no doubt. R&D is expensive, especially when people's lives are on the line, and it's complex, and the US government is involved in some way. I imagine the requirements documentations run 100s of pages. But maybe it's not as bad as I think, if they leveraged existing designs, technology and communal knowledge.
Designers looked at a photo of Nate Diaz and were like yoooo
pit stop on the moon :)
ha ha, he keeps waving.
Let's see it in a vacuum chamber!
I hope the white coating does its job, the moon can reach 127 degrees.🥵
We have been making space suits that can deal with the sun for a long time. I don't know all the features to deal with the heat. But they can exhaust the hot air in the suit. They can insulate the in various ways. etc.
So virus or others things from ouside can go inside the spaceship or rover through the back of suit because the back of tje suit will be inside the cabin.
Tell us apollo never happened without telling us...
I can't wait to see Artemis-3 happens. 😊
But some technical concerns: in 2023 (24-25, even), switches on a space suite (because of the sausage fingers) are outdated. They can be broken or simply hardly touched. Those suite lights should be gesture-controled and as a Plan B, voice-controlled, and as a Plan C, remote-controled.
You...just make the switch big and robust. Voice and gesture control is unreliable at best (false positives/negatives, with gestures - easily disrupted by ambient lighting) and all three plans depend on the wifi still working - so if that's knocked out, you don't even have lights for the walk home.
Witch a big, tough switch there's nothing to go wrong. Cost-cutting is not a concern so make this sucker out of aircraft-grade aluminum or steel and overengineer the crap out of it.
@@paulzuk1468 Makes sense, okay. :)
Yea they also should have netflix in their suit for being modern
@@furiousfragment7082LOL
They'll find the flag left behind by Apollo
Looks uncomfortable
Obviously it s uncomfortable on earth. On the moon you are 6 times lighter so you would be way more confortable.
Yes very, if they actually used your tax dollars properly, billions worth, they would be extremely flexible and less bulky and would look more like flight suits.
It’s really not looks like it but it’s not
it's a space suit
@@LineOfThy will it work with my neural link?
Prefer the classic White color.
that’ll be a great design for when someone jumps too hard and ends up flying off, black suit on pitch black void doesn’t seem like a very good idea.
Human got their tail again😂
funny
0.1 mm aluminum foil still used ??? 🤣
Dino suit 😅😅😅
Artemis is the twin sister of apollo
They learned allot from the russian cosmonaut suits...
The new clownsuit
Tht background music is ridiculous
The color scheme feels like KTM motorcycle
NASA Please Don't blow up the black guy and if the O-rings are broken abort the mission this time.😔
Did they skip Artemis 2?
No. They’re not leaving the capsule for during Artemis 2, so they’re not going to be using this suit.
Nope
It's all a clown show. Now they're saying that they won't put a person on the moon until at least 2026. You know, for supposedly going there 50 years ago, they sure seem to be struggling to go back.
you have to consider the context, dude. the only reason its being delayed to 2026 is because they want the starship lunar lander to be used - starship is a COMPLETELY new technology, of course its going to need a few years to marinate.
@@mymixedbiscuit9159 its a hoax
NASA's budget in the 1960s at it's height was 4% of the NATIONAL budget. Currently it is about 0.3%. I wonder what could be the problem?
To big and bulky I would have thought by now they have more useful hands
Next contract bid, be sure to put forth your proposal with your cheaper, better suit. But I can tell you, having worked on government contracts, if you haven't, you will be shocked at the large number of requirements generated by design by committee, I don't doubt improvements are possible, but it's not so easy to design stuff that gets through the committees sitting in judgement.
It looks wrong..
Read books, play games, do not believe in lies.
He needs to lose the stick, purposefully lay on his back and get up off the ground.
It looks so off, when one is presenting a new technological innovation of his company in a serious way for the public, and the guy wearing the suit is waving at everyone with a silly face lol
They are engineers, are they not allowed to be happy? Not everything has to be serious imagine inventing something new and being told you could not smile
are people not allowed to be happy?
But I thought there is no one on the moon…???
There is no one one the moon. No one is up there but pieces of equipment.
there will be
Yikes.
Thats not nasa lol,the spacesuit has no good reason to be black and they didn't even do artemis 2 yet
Did you not watch the video? Nasa hired them to make the suit and this is the prototype they said in the video that the suit will be white on the moon
@@77x0 oh,interesting
That's an ugly suit!
Can't wait to see it on the moon! 🤣🤣
It’s about practicality not look…
function over form buddy, function over form
Why did they put a clown in a space suit.
to entertain kids like you probably
Will this suit be used for the fake moon landing ? LOL
Yup
Of course only you know the truth.. explain how it is you know this..
Proof?
no.
Why would they fake it a second time around? Didn’t you morons say the Apollo missions were faked to beat the Russians? What is it now? I swear you’re just bored. Find a hobby.
Why that guy is acting like a mascot? They should use a real astronaut instead.
Black color is the worst color for space 😂
I'm a little disappointed honestly. It STILL looks too cumbersome. Yeah it's an improvement I guess but come on. He looks like he can barely move his arms.
When hes on the moon he will be able to move better.
The range of motion is clearly *dramatically* better than both the A7L and current EMUs, so...
on earth.
Cool. Now there’s only about another 30-50 years before we have the technology to make the landing.
Weve had the technology to land on the moon for decades.
Wonder how the apollo astronauts managed to land on the moon if the technology for it was at least 60-80 years away
we already have it.
@@RetoskiCat oh please. the lunar lander used in the 60s are outdated. now they want to use starship, a completely new technology
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤔So this is what a first grader winner coloring spacesuit looks like.
Hey everyone what do you think about this suit? Pretty cool huh well guess what it's actually going to be white. 🙄 That's like showing a concept car that will never see the light of day and coming up with the totally different one.
... it's not the same thing at all, it's literally just a different color.
buddy it's literally just a different coat of paint
Pls fire the designer...
The constant facial expressions, waving, and goofy antics of the guy in the suit is a huge distraction. It seriously makes it difficult to focus on the speaker and his presentation of the suit. Its like he wants the presentation to be about him. I stopped watching after 1 minute.
I’d be like that if I was in a spacesuit
Ya it almost seems like a gimmick! 🤣🤣 Astro....not!
There were a lot of children in the audience. I would bet he was waving at kids who were excited to see the new suit.
