I have a friend who built the same size building on his 8 acre piece of land near his house outside of Houston. I went and visited him to see the new building and the first thing out of his mouth was "I should have gotten insulation!!". So good on you for doing that. The next thing he said was he wished he would have made provisions for a bathroom. Not a fancy shower or anything like that. Just a toilet with a small sink and then outside the bathroom a utility sink for washing tools and gardening stuff, etc. Then outside of the bathroom he would have been able to get a connection for a regular hose for washing cars, etc. He said the plumbing and septic was around $18K but he said it would have only added a couple hundred to his note and his realtor said it would have added $50K to the sale price....oh well, live and learn. Otherwise, congratulations. It looks great.

That solid shaft on the large garage door needs trimmed down. Best to only leave 10-14” on whichever side you may put a jack shaft opener on. It’s absolutely crazy no one cut those down.

When we went home shopping, we wanted a metal shop . That was in 2017.. We bought the house with a 1700 sf shop on slab, came with with 220 power, lights, water and a automotive lift. I have no idea what the shop would cost now as its built. We were lucky because since 2017 the price of house and property has almost doubled. And now building cost have gone crazy. In todays market the concrete alone you’re looking at around $30,000+ building probably around $60,000 add another $10,000-15,000 for insulation and to pay to have it build add another $30,000. My best guess is $150,000 with doors electric windows and insulation. That’s in todays prices. May have been a bit less for them.

Luckily for me we already had the pad we’re building on so I didn’t have the concrete expense for the 20x30 building. Hope that helps give you some comparison. Also I’m in North Texas.

I don't know the price on this particular building, but if you really want to build one, I hope you hit the lottery. Covid/Inflation/Corporate Greed has caused prices on these buildings to skyrocket. I got a quote for a 60x80x16 metal building about a week ago at 225k installed. That did not include taxes or site prep. That was concrete, wood, metal, doors, windows, and insulation at 100k for materials and 125k for labor. Even though it usually takes about 5 days or less to put one of these up. I'm sure concrete takes a bit longer, but I've seen enough youtube builds that it doesn't take much time to build the rest. I have the construction background, so will be putting mine up myself. Can't see paying anyone more than the materials cost for labor. But good luck in your build. Hopefully you can get it cheaper where you live.

Lol. Who told you to say 1 on 12 or 4 on 12 for pitch ? This is why contractors hate CZcams. People can’t even say things right 🤦‍♂️

Really hard to see any of the build, the camera was so far away and the wrong angle, wrong height. Add in the blurry portion and you have a basically very average home movie. Sorry, this wasn't quite ready for CZcams.

Looked fine to me, this is not a Hollywood movie. There are no requirements. Good luck with your project.

Everyone keeps asking about cost. Right. She's barely old enough to buy alcohol, and she just bought a $75k plus spare building, in addition to the acreage and million dollar house that she hangs out at. Trust me, cost isn't even something she ponders, let alone will post for everyone to see. Think about it: the point of this video is not informational, it's to show off.

I agree its exceptionally important to bash the person and the video, although we all came here to learn about it. It's easy to get cost on metal buildings though just fyi.
