    I got one but assembled it myself. I hear all the preassembled ones have issues. so far no problems and I offroad it in the desert everday

    I really like the sky blue color of yours and the decal package. I have a dark green one. In the spring I may repaint it to an actual less shiny olive drab to look more like an MB Willys.

    So if I plan to assemble it with a friend and replace the fasteners it’ll be a solid unit. I’m cool with that!

    Anything made in china or that is Chinese brand will rattle apart. Those gy6 motors have a strong vibration when you are running them, they will always rattle things apart. Tightening the motor mounts could help.

    Everyone today is making a mini jeep and all of them have loose bolts. You have to go through every nut and bolt and tighten it up.

    I have a question. We just got one and the steering has already came apart. I think we are missing a part on the drivers side. There’s a threaded shaft that runs underneath held by U bolts and connects to the passenger side hub, but doesn’t connect to anything on drivers side? Unless we lost something when it came apart.

    • @jeepfreak81
      @jeepfreak81  Před 3 lety +1

      I thought the same thing, the drag link only connects to the one side, then the tie rod goes to the other side. If I'm picturing it correctly anyway

    They are nice little vehicles for what they are! A toy! Depends on how you take care of them. The grease, loose stuff, etc, etc, that's maintenance as there would be on anything. Sucks that guy didn't take care of it for you, because he ruined your experience. It's all things that would have been fine with some pro-active simple maintenance. Chrome, rusting, seat belt, etc, etc, it's a toy! Chrome polish it and that will stop it! It's not a BMW for big money! You start it up. don't let it warm up! SAYS it ALL!

    • @jeepfreak81
      @jeepfreak81  Před 4 lety

      Whatever you say man, but it was brand new from a dealership when all that stuff fell off. From the factory and dealership there was no grease. 90% of those issues were in the first 10 rides. One winter in my barn and it was rusting. I expect some of the stuff as a Chinese toy

      I have a 2017 model, almost identical mine is green. I have found nuts and bolts here and there early on but I learned to go through it “with a fine toothed comb” and tighten EVERYTHING. Mine has never seen rain or dirt and is only ridden at night and kept in my garage. For that I would say I take better care of mine BUT he obviously has more fun with his. My friends have them and they’ve done pipe and carb upgrades. I would recommend them to anyone but just like he said, go through them bcz China doesn’t have a QC program.

    • @ryansdao
      @ryansdao Před 2 lety +2

      no Charles, it's china junk quality. you should not have to go through and tighten everything and stuff shouldn't rust that easily. it's the same story with the cheap chinese mopeds and dirt bikes. its priced too high to just call it a toy. it will continue rot away quickly . the Japanese products or even reputable asian brands like sym and kymco are night and day built better and last 15+ years and can handle being stored outside. it's just too bad one of the nicer companies don't make a cool jeep like this.

      You definitely have to be handy, or want to tinker. Over-all it has been a decent unit, but if they actually focused just a tad more at the factory and in engineering, they could be a quality unit for not much more money. Most of the issues come from improper assembly at the factory, and in my case the dealer level.

  • @noduh736
    @noduh736 Před 3 lety +2

    Dont blame the dealer he can only put together the crapy Chinese parts together and if they are like the cheap china atvs they dont go together like they are supposed to the fasteners are all super cheap I would not just tighten replace as many as you can if you want a good one you gotta pay more but ya all the fasteners fall out
