  • After deciding that I want to purchase a lowering module for my Macan GTS, I did not find any in depth videos clearly showing the different height levels.
    The installed lowering module is the Air Suspension Module Sport by TechArt.
    Another alternative would be the Cete lowering module which has a lot more versatility in terms of dialing in your desired height manually via the smartphone app.
    The TechArt modules changes two of three factory ride height levels and adds an additional parking level:
    Normal Level -10 mm
    Low Level -30 mm
    Off Road Level +40 mm (unchanged)
    Parking Level -60 mm
    *GTS adds -10 mm as it is factory lowered by 10 mm
    0:13 Normal to Low Level
    0:26 Normal to Off Road Level
    0:49 Parking Level

    Update:
    3+ years and 30K+ miles later, no issues with the air suspension and the module.
    Just make sure to get a full wheel alignment based on the new geometry after installing a lowering module or lowering links.

    Thanks for this. I'm w/ you on this choice over the cete. It's on my list

    Thanks for the demo. Any particular reason you chose this over the CETE lowering module. Trying to decide between the two. TIA

      @Chris Cruz You’re welcome.
      The main reason why I went with the TechArt over the Cete module is:
      1. Although the app allowing free control over the ride height in various driving modes seemed appealing, I decided against it. I didn’t want to have to deal with endless ride height configuration possibilities to find out what the perfect balance for driving on road is without impacting the suspension geometry too much so that it could cause damage to the car while driving on rather imperfect NYC roads. Also, I felt like having too much flexibility is rather tiring in terms of having to persuade yourself that the ride height setting you chose is perfect. I think this is personal preference.
      The TechArt has presets which are more than perfect in improving the driving experience. Furthermore, I appreciated the fact that it automatically goes to down to parking level whenever the car is being locked with Low Level button turned on. As far as I know, with the Cete module, you would have to set it to show mode or something like that manually. I may be wrong here.
      2. I plan to eventually add a few more TechArt options such as the TechArt exhaust at some point and I wanted to go with a company that offers other aftermarket parts, for the sake of keeping it somewhat brand consistent and not a collection of diverse aftermarket parts.
      I hope this somewhat helps. Feel free to reach out if you have further questions. If you decide to get the TechArt and you are based in the US, reach out to me. I’ll let you how you can get it for a lower price than what US resellers list it for.

      @@gtsnyc Do you have a suggestion where to purchase this? I'm finding very few vendors that offer it.

      @@phunkyp-nut9210It depends on where you are but I would contact them directly as you‘d most likely get the best price. I did so although there are vendors in the US.

    cete modules are on back order heavy so looking at just doing techart for my 2022 macan GTS, do you know if its possible to turn on parking level and drive with the techart?

      @CarDaddys No, the parking level is disabled once you unlock the car and open the door. Unlike the Cete module, TechArt has preset non customizable ride height adjustments.

    Hello, do you often ride on low mode?

    • @gtsnyc
      @gtsnyc  Před 5 měsíci

      @dubLAbee Hey, I mostly ride in low ride height mode with the suspension in comfort mode. Alternatively I ride in standard ride height mode with suspension set to sport.
      Before and after the suspension lowering module, there is a slight reduction in terms of overall comfort as it becomes slightly stiffer (because less suspension travel) but in general the air suspension still copes well.
