To be honest the more realistic witch show I've watched would be originals, vampire diaries or Salem which in my opinion was really realistic

+Sadiqz Uchiha I agree. They're a lot less flashy and not all sparkles and colour giving them a more realistic feel. I feel when magic is given a flashy effect it often loses that mystical and supernatural feel to it. E.g Charmed, the flashy effects just made it look cheesy and not at all realistic.
+hottibilly06 Sorry! Not to say I didn't like the shows. I still loved charmed and thoroughly enjoyed every episode. Didn't mean to belittle the shows.
hottibilly06 Yeah, still love watching both shows but i'm slightly leaning towards the originals atm cuz there's less romantic drama and TO has a more interesting story line imo.

I don't like Vampire Diaries and The Originals effects. They aren't fanciful... I prefer Once Upon a Time ones, because we're talking about magic, not exorcism. TO and TVD try to add a badass side to their series, and it becomes ridiculous : Once Upon A Time has its badass side, and did not need to remove the sparkling colors to the wizards and witches of the series. It even gives them their unique look, because each has its own color ! And don't worry, I'm no hater, I love The Originals ! ;)

Éléonore Boutillier. I feel the same way, I don't think their depiction of magic is bad, but kind of lack luster. I like how Charmed showed off their magic, it felt more mystical and fantasy like. Other people say their magic too colorful or not realistic. But for me magic should look colorful and have that unique look to it
