I agree with all of you to this comment. He truly is authentic. What I Like about him is that he portrays himself as a real life video game character. He should have been in the matrix. In fact he should work in action movies in the future.

I worked with Kenichi about 15 years ago in New York for an entertainment company. He would dance at Bar Mitzvahs and Sweet Sixteens along with other dancers. He even tried giving me dance lessons but I have two left feet. I'm so happy for him that he won. I had no idea that he was on the show until the week before he was named the winner. Good for you, Kenichi! Awesome.

I still stand by my statement that we will never see anyone as creative and talented as Kenichi on a talent show ever again. Not only in terms of dancing and body control, but in terms of directing and visual appeal too.

There is a new dancer who got inspired by his idea (I think) named Canion Shijirbat, his dancing may be worse but his creativity is definitely on one level with Kenichi's.

I'm not saying you're wrong, as such, but there are plenty of performers out there, especially Japanese performers, who do stuff like this and are at least as good, or better, in my opinion at least. Technically I'm thinking of performances that aren't exactly on 'talent shows', but I do recommend checking out U-min, Hamutsun Serve, World Order (featuring ex-MMA fighter Genki Sudo) and others, if you like this sort of thing.
I also recommend Robot Boys, who won Denmark's Got Talent.
I love how at the beginning he tried to look like an idiot who came to AGT just because he wanted to, but he totally surprised the judges and audiences :)

That is how I felt, he was so cute when he was talking about his act with the judges & I figured I would enjoy his act, but I did not expect him to be so outstanding & leave me wanting to see so much more.
I love that he uses mostly two steps from hell for his music. Promise, strength of a thousand men etc. All amazingly epic music to go with his equally amazing performance

He's so inspiring, I'm in my early 20's and I always thought it was too late for me to play guitar like a pro. After hearing he started dancing professionally during his college days really got my eyes sparkling.
I just loved Kenichi and was so glad that he won AGT 2013. I think his creativity is as awesome as his performance
He creates a story with every dance, and it's beautiful to watch come together.

You can see he messes up in a few performances, BUT WHO FUCKING CARES!!! His ideas are so creative and good that when he messes up, the creativity (I don't know a better word that describes his performances) basically masks it. Kenichi Ebina did deserve that win.
Thought it was rather hilarious at the start when he first appears they all have that look as if..."Should we be ready with the button or is he actually going to do anything?" Then all of a sudden PURE EPICNESS OCCURS!!! Kenichi is awesome.
Nothing “dance-ish” bout his performances. He’s an accomplished dancer. His technique is sophisticated, elaborate. Not to mention that he’s a gifted choreographer. Wishing him a gr8 career.

THE best thing about Season 8! Kenichi surprised all of us with his talent and creativity so much that I largely felt that he would win the season (by voting for him) and...HE DID! Sugoi, Kenichi-san!

Absolutely brilliant... I have watched his videos more than 20 times.. Fantastic
His first performance was the best. The next ones relied too much on special effects and were kinda weak, which is probably why he reverted back to the first performance in his final performance.
What he has, which a lot of other talented people will often lack, is longevity. His performances are each unique and could fill a Broadway/Vegas show easy.
They weren't just special effects, he had to create them both before and then match the timings of them meticulously on stage in the moment. Far, far more impressive than just the bare bones dance he did in the audition.

THE WAY HE FELL BACKWARDS AND LEVITATED BACK UP DEFINITELY LOOK LIKE HE WAS EMPOWERED BY A DEMONIC POWER OF INFLUENCE IN IT'S SELF THE WAY HE ROSE UP BACK WAS LIKE UNNATURAL. Um, all the finalists were supposed to do their first audition performances for the finale, along with an original one. If you had watched the entire finale, you may remember Taylor Williamson struggling with the fact that he would have to do the same jokes again, which wouldn't be in his favor, unlike the other performances
It's so amazing watching him first walking in to audition. I could tell they almost didn't take him seriously.

I still remember being 12 when this came out. I saw his audition, and I remember right then and there, before he even got the golden buzzer, that he was the winner of this years agt, and it was a fight for second place for everyone else

I seen kenichi for the first time on showtime at the apollo in the late 90's early 2000's... He won that too. Then when i seen him on agt i was like "holy shit it's that guy!" this dude is entertaining.

So FYI
Kenichi moved to the US from Japan when he was 20 to attend college.
It was at one of the college parties where he did the running man, the only dance move he knew at the time. Everyone cheered him on which was what motivated him to start learning how to dance-ish.
I'm a Rapper from California and I am thinking about auditioning for AGT's next season. It would mean a lot if you could take just a little bit of time to listen to some of my music and tell me what you think. Thank you.
If I could give some advice, I would suggest planning ahead. If you do make it on you do not want to be stressing out about what you are going to do for the next show. Have some basic ideas ready.

You are really good, but my suggestion to you is that you need to come up with a story behind the rap- such as in a dance with other people - like a play of what you are telling in the rap song while your rapping it and put yourself in the story, because otherwise truthfully you might not make it. Plan ahead, but very good,
Kenichi your talent IS INCREDIBLE. What you have choreographed is so unique.
If only the audience and everyone who watches this stuff wasn't so prejudice... Then they'd let him do his audition before they judged him
Kenichi was on Turkish TV the last day and they asked him what he bought with the 1 Million. He said that he didn't even get one penny of the million. The 1 million is an reward that is spread over a time of 40 years. You get the money bit by bit. They probably make a ton of money with AGT, so this feels just wrong.
