World Asthma Day

The Pulmonology Department of Lisie Hospital, Ernakulam, in collaboration with Lisie College of Pharmacy, organized a vibrant celebration in honor of World Asthma Day on 07/05/2024, held at the High Court Kochi Watermetro Station. The event commenced with an energetic flashmob performance by the 1st-year students of D Pharm of Lisie College of Pharmacy, grabbing the attention of passersby and setting the stage for the awareness campaign. Dr. Paramez A R, HOD & Senior Consultant Pulmonologist at Lisie Hospital, delivered an insightful talk on asthma, covering topics such as management, triggers, and treatment options, with support from Dr. Thomas Kurian, Consultant and Dr. Elu Mary, Junior Consultant in Pulmonary Medicine. Mr. Ronald Peter, Associate Professor, along with Ms. Bhagyasree S, Assistant Professor, and Ms. Achu Jose, Lecturer, played pivotal roles in coordinating the event, ensuring its smooth execution. The theme of the celebration, "Asthma Education Empower," underscored the importance of spreading knowledge and fostering understanding about asthma, empowering individuals to better manage the condition and lead fulfilling lives. Overall, the event served as a testament to Lisie Hospital and Lisie College of Pharmacy's commitment to promoting respiratory health and enhancing public awareness about asthma, contributing to a healthier and more informed community.
