What I like about the ending after leaving the bunker is that the stakes get higher and that the bunker intensity is now tame by comparison to fighting aliens, ending with her fully accepting her badassery and taking the path to help others with medical skills (her now knowing how to stitch up a wound and make a protective suit) and her ability to fight (proven by her escape from the bunker AND defeating an alien). I think it showed just enough of the outside world to not feel like a separate movie or to feel like her problems are now over.
I also don’t mind changing genres within a movie. Life can change from one moment to another, so why not allow movies to change as the situation changes? That feels limiting, and I like when movies surprise me and shift tone. For example, Full Metal Jacket is a movie with two parts with totally different tones. The Village has a huge tone shift. And so on.
Well, if you think about how the movie plays out. The ending makes sense. And i think it holds up better now than ever before.
This is such a great movie, I wish more reactors would watch it. John Goodman as a villian is soo good. "The Cloverfield Paradox" is more of an actual sequal. If you take that movie seriously it's pretty bad.. but if you take it a silly fun movie.. it's great lol.

One of my favorite things about this film is the subtle character element of the main character. At the beginning of the movie, she is leaving and her boyfriend calls her and talks about how they just had a fight and asks her to not run at the first sign of trouble. And at the end of the movie, she chooses to face the trouble head on.

i only saw cloverfield four times in theaters but it's nice to know someone else was as obsessed as me haha. the marketing for both films was insane! if you didn't know about it you should look into it...full on ARG! had people cracking codes & finding caches. i think i was 17 when the first film came out so when this movie dropped & they pulled the same marketing it was so nostalgic & heart warming. supposedly we are getting a direct sequel soon that will tie all the films together soon - here's hoping they can pull it off!

Great reaction..you guys should react to Cube. It's also one of those "I dont know how I woke up and found myself here" movies -it's a scifi/horror, but PLEASE do not watch any trailers or anything about it..go in blind. I promise you'll both enjoy it

I think I’ve probably watched the movie four or five times, and even now just watching snippets of it in the little window of this little CZcams video is stressing me out. In my mind, Howard is not only John Goodman’s most intense character, I think he’s one of the scariest movie villains I’ve ever seen. He absolutely believes he’s the good guy.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead was also in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World.
give Coherence (2013/14) a try, also, Triangle (2009) is a sweet gem.

The fire started because perchloric acid is an oxidizing acid precursor to making ammonium perchlorate, a solid oxidizer used in APCP, ammonium perchlorate composite propellant. It’s used in solid rocket boosters used by NASA, various space agencies, etc. Acids like it make just about any organic material, polyester carpet, wood flooring, rubber insulation on a lamp cord, etc highly flammable. Like rocket fuel flammable. Ya can’t even wear latex, vinyl, or nitrile gloves while working with it because they burn within seconds of contact.
Goodman once said in an interview that he became an actor because he was too lazy to work, and too nervous to steal! ;-]

great movie. my favorite of the series.
That's right, this one has nothing to do with the first one, which was more blockbuster, this one seems more like a low budget independent movie, that with the excuse of no money, almost all the plot develops in the basement or bunker of the house and plays more with the suspense of what will happen outside.
Mary Elizabeth Winstead looks like the younger version of Sigourney Weaver, perfect for Alien 1979 Remake😉👌
I hated the ending. Not gonna lie I just wish they ended the movie with her finding out none of it was real and have her driving off and getting help. I felt like it would've been satisfying, but of course it needed to have some relation to the first film. This could've it's own film and not a sequel.
It is true that the ending also falls to me, I think it was not necessary, if I were the director, I would have simply played all the time with the credibility of the girl to say, what the man tells me, will it be true, will it be a lie? and then when she escapes and leaves, she sees that nothing happens, everything is quiet, he leaves in a vehicle on the road and above the camera appears a ship that goes in the direction of her while she is driving along the road in the horizon and fade to black, end of the film, simple and more effective and say: ahh! end was true, there is an alien invasion, the man was right and what happened to her in the end with that ship, is a free interpretation of the viewer.
The 3rd one was my second favorite after the original. Very fun movie. You hating, sounds like you had the highest expectations for a third for in a franchise.

I just have to be honest I don’t really see 10 cloverfield lane as a sequel to the original (2008) cloverfield tho yes 10 cloverfield lane is a great movie I don’t really see it as a sequel to the original as I said (my opinion) but great reaction

Cloverfield Paradox is allllright, but not great. I didn't mind the lore aspect, but the script was terrible.
Amazing psychological thriller but that ending with the aliens really ruined it.
