Saw Alien as a kid, unintentionally; while staying with my grandparents in the 80's.. I was 8 or 9 at most. The movie changed my chemical make up, and imprinted on me a lifetime of nightmares and fear of the Xenomorph. It was scarry AF for me as a kid. Hated the Great Movie Ride at MGM Studios, etc. NOW, as a functioning man child adult.. I'm so thankful that movie scared me so much as a kid. I love the feeling of a kind of.... 'childlike fear' when I watch these movies (to this day). I just hope Romulus is as good as I want, and need it to be.

I was about 5 when I first saw it around 1984 it scared me pretty good

I was of similar age. I had to check behind the toilets for eggs constantly. As I grew I realised the film must be so good if it terrified me that much.
@@TaxemicFanatic I'm the same way.. In prep for Romulus, I've watched the first 3 films back to back... and even watched Resurrection for the fun of it. I haven't been this hyped up for a film since... I can't recall.

When I was 5 years old, my mom let me watch Alien, Aliens, The Terminator and T2 on my own lol. It didn't terrify me but fascinated me and instilled a love for Sci-Fi that I have to this day. Even though you probably shouldn't have, thank you mom! 😂

I have an idea about the android names. Although this doesn't work in English, it does in my native language and this is how the idea came: Andy is written with an A, but it is pronounced as an E. If I see correctly, also in Spanish, which is Fede Álvarez's mother language through Uruguay. Do you think this makes any sense? 😅
to be honest, I don't think the actor looks like an "Andy."

Yeah, Reddit and CZcams have very different audiences.
so we have two brothers that fed from the same lab, remus big chap and the new one romulus , to be more specific i think they extract some of chap dna and create romulus
Fede certainly talked a lot about siblinghood...so sibling aliens is an interesting idea.
the labs are called remus and romulus. one is on either side of the station and each is new-gen and old-gen in the same film. the new xeno is called 'scorched', and big chap is stuck in a rock so he wont be going around doing anything honestly.

There are things I love about Prometheus...but it does have its problems.

Voice of mother sounds a lot like I can’t think of the actress name right now, but the enterprise voice
Majel Barrett was her name. She also died in 2008. She was actually Gene Roddenberry's wife, and played Nurse Chapel in the original series, and later, Lwaxana Troi (Troi's mother) on TNG.

Jesus it looks uninspired. The CGI looks cheap. The environments looks like cheap mockups. Entire shots just stolen from the other movies.
If you can't do it properly, don't do it.
Almost no CGI in it...all practical effects and creatures.
