Why is "who you are" about your hair, and not the positive influence you've had on the world, the successes you've had, the hardships you've overcome, the contributions you've made to your family, community, and nation? Why isn't who you are about embracing and remembering your culture, your heritage, and your ancestors, while at the same time enriching and promoting the advancement of culture within your nation? No, it's about hair?

...I'm all for you looking good, feeling good, representing your personality and being an individual, expressing yourself through your style and fashion and hair do and all that. And I get it that the VAST majority of black women aren't doing the crimes above, nor are they spending half their day with their hair... but for those who are, it's a bit much.
