Lovely to watch these 9 episodes. Sad that the rest of the series is missing. Tragic that Carl Davis died this week. His romantic theme music remains a joy to hear.
They’re not missing if you’re still looking, just uploaded by other people, here’s a playlist of all 13 episodes if your interested; czcams.com/play/PLDRyHf3whQyxZhGK3YlOwkYkxdZA-gqrj.html&si=XT3gWXivKjTsEIiF
I've watched this so often and have grown to appreciate what a great achievement this is and how incredible Carl Davis' music is.
Carl Davis is British, so only from a distance does he have the benefit of familiarity with the subjects portrayed. I agree he did a masterful.job.

9:15 Italian -American Iron Eyes Cody presented as an authority on Native Americans.
Hollywood indeed.
Fantastic
At 20:28 it looks like a young Hoot Gibson talking to Harry Carey.
I ordered HOLLWOOD on laserdisc as my first purchase from a private collector only to get stiffed. I understand that this episode had unsynchronized sound.
Only 9 episodes ?!
Who is the girl who dances next to the man with the hat at minute 1:35
Beatrice dominguez. Died in 1921 of complications from appendicitis, which also killed Rudolph Valentino in 1926, the man she's dancing with.
Il me manque le numéro 8
Iron Eyes Cody wasn't a real indian
As a NA our nations are not just in the west. NAs since the ice age have lived from the northeast to the southeast USA as well as across the midwest to the pacific coastline of the US. We have many tribal nations across the US. My own NA background includes Shawnee, Choctaw, Cherokee, and Lumbee NA. My people cover Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, and Oklahoma.
And, my ancestors were part of the Indian removal called the Trail of Tears. In fact, my ancestors were even pushed out of their homes and forced to live in internment camps for a few years before they were force to walk the trail to OK. And, one of my ggg-great grandmothers died in one of the camps.
Most folks outside the USA are not aware of how civilized the eastern US NA/ Indians were as many went to college, own businesses, were successful farmers, and some were extremely wealthy until they lost their homes and assets and forced to migrate to Oklahoma
