- From the 2021 Heifetz Institute, violinist SoHyun Ko, joined by pianist Miki Aoki, offers a dazzling rendition of Pablo de Sarasate's "Carmen Fantasy," the Spanish composer's brilliant stew of themes and melodies from Georges Bizet's opera "Carmen." Captured in concert at a "Stars of Tomorrow" concert at First Presbyterian Church in Staunton, VA, home of the Heifetz International Music Institute and its Festival of Concerts.

This is why music are so fanscinating, same piece performed by Perlman, Hahn and Ko have different feeling and they are all fantastic.

I love this girl, she puts her own stamp on every piece she plays.

she is getting more interviews in Korean media and performances on TV. She was even invited as guest on a show with Henry Lau (very popular Kpop star) and made a cameo in Kdrama.
Her first video i watched back then was her performing a beautiful heartbreaking piece of Pablo de Sarasate:The Zigeunerwisen. Then I watched her performing with Pinchas Zukerman a piece of Js bach(double Violin concerto). Thirdly I saw her in Henry's channel and in two set Violin's review video as well..And now again a Sarasate's piece .....She literally nails everything she plays... Beautiful ❤️
I feel like her playing as matured a lot since Zigeunerweisen though - my favorite performer of that would be Soojin Han

That is... Goodness gracious. Wow. Just wow. Listened to Perlman Hahn and Fischer first because I needed to remember something about this piece, but this girl just washed the floors with them all. She really seems to get Bizet's Carmen - almost like she IS Carmen. It's all there. Amazing!

since Sarah Jang's performance, I had never seen the violinist who could play this song with feeling full of Gypsy like this before. And now I am watching this video, and she became my favorite performer of Sarasate. It is very impressive. I love her fascinating performance.

I’ve heard SoHyun play the same piece in different settings with different unique interpretations. This one by far is played with so much more passion, depth & maturity. Always interesting to see SoHyun’s music development over time.

I think shes grown more used to performing and shes playing out now and i thinkk shes more comfortable. Zukerman taught her well. i think she was taken aback by her playing because of the way she walked at the end. she must have been overwhelmed

와우~ 몇번을 반복해서 듣고 있습니다. 고소현양 얼마나 더 전설이 될지 엄청 기대됩니다. 길샤함 펄만 힐러리한 장영주의 카르멘 판타지와 비교해서도 천재성이 눈부십니다. 활을 채찍처럼 휘두르듯 음이 짝짝, 고저장단의 밀당! 전설들을 이미 넘어섰다면 섣부를지 몰라도, 제눈에는 남자 연주자를 넘어서 보입니다 바이올린은 정말 악기의 제왕, 이 화려함을 따라올 악기가 없고, 과연 사람인가 싶은 대가들 조차 따라올수 있겠냐고 시험하는 엄청난 곡들 ㄷㄷㄷㄷ 카르멘 환타지가 이렇게 빛나는줄 몰랐네요. 듀엣만으로도 이렇게 멋진데, 언젠가 오케스트라와의 협연 정말 고대합니다.
