She lives in ELDO. I work as a paramedic in that area and know that area decently. The people that generally live where she’s at have giant mansions and upper middle class rural communities with staple pools for summer time use or for rental properties.

I don’t think it will, but if I was her, I’d probably being campaigning to communities, upscale ones in CA at least, about making them mandatory. That’s be a smart idea, assuming she could then meet that demand

Hey @depiiiiiiiii - since you do not know why shark tank is watched while eating, try fasting ... to understand the "why." ehhh?
I wondered the same thing and then I figured it out. It's because we like to periodically look down at our food and see what we are doing, and with certain content if you look away for a second or two then you can miss something, whereas with Shark Tank its also very auditory so while our eyes lose focus on and off while we eat, our ears are always keeping up with the dialogue and progression 100% so it flows perfectly for us without missing anything. Just my experience at least.

Huge flaw in this system. As soon as the water goes below the intake skimmer you are done.. so you don’t have a pool full of water to work with. Only a small amount from the top. That’s why the competition uses a drop in pump that pulls from the bottom of the pool.

Good point but I'm sure they can pivot this flaw by adding an adapter that drops to bottom of pool couldn't they?

Ayyyeeee some local talent! I’m from EDH! I wish all the best for this beautiful entrepreneur. It’s obviously needed and she got a GREAT deal for two sharks at 25%. Her family legacy lives on and will definitely save homes and potentially lives in her career. I hope she scales to get her margins higher. Could potentially make this a law in certain counties where every home owner with a pool is required to have one installed.

I’m in south Ga so I can only speak of the area I’m familiar with. Having said that, 90% of the pools in my area have the water outflow on the side of the pool with the water level only a couple of inches above it. At the water flow rates she was speaking of, you’d only get a very few minutes of high pressure water before the pump was sucking air.

how do you know what most pools have? you go around inspecting other people's pools? or you in above ground pool land?
@@arresthillary9502 because there are only 2 pool installers in the area and they both install the same type of pools. In ground, vinyl lined pools. I’ve personally never seen a pool with the drain in the bottom that wasn’t concrete. I’m sure there are but I’ve never seen one.

I thought sharks would ask for at least 1/3 of the business. If townships in California make it mandatory for pools, it will help control wildfires.
I’m sorry but a natural wildfire that stretches hundreds of miles won’t be stopped by the water in your little backyard pool 😂😂. This will just prolong the time before your house is inevitably incinerated to a crisp
Her overall idea is interesting but so many flaws….evacuation, power outage, sucking air once water level below the skimmer. Plus, it’s nothing more than a box with a valve and a hose, all of hitch are already available at hardware stores already.
She’s lucky sharks are too rich to do stuff around their houses themselves and would know this.
Question never been in a wildfire. My question is do you still have power during a wildfire. No power no pool pump.

As noted below this will not work when the water dips below the skimmer. You would need some type of diverter in the skimmer to redirect to the main drain.
does not matter , the volume (amount) of water is FIXED.
You can say this will not work once the pool is "drained" (skimmer or not) .
If it even has a bottom drain. Many pools today don’t.
the main drain has its own plumbing straight to the pump Moe Ron. you see that 3 way valve on virtually EVERY pool ion existence? that is a line from the skimmer, a line form the main drain to the pump
@arresthillary9502 you should know your facts before calling someone a moe ron. Not all pools are piped from the main drain back to the pump. I have worked on several neighbors pools here in SoCal over the years as well as mine and the main drain is piped straight to the skimmer. From the skimmer it goes back to the pool pump. Do your research or be 100% certain before being the kind person you are.

What happens if you don't have power??
I could be wrong but doesnt the Utility shut power down durinf wild fires? Which is usually due to high winds? So u less you have a generator the product has a marginal chance to even operate unless you get on it real early.
Would probably need a backup generator to be safe

Wetting a roof down and then leaving is not going to do anything. You would need to stay and then this product is placing you in danger
wrong. flooding the roof couls remove pine needles or other debris up there that is combustible or moving it all into the gutters so the debris is not exposed to embers
