I can’t fathom going to a church where the pastor is married to his mistress that he met as a minor, where they both cheated on their spouses and he was their officiant! All WHILE he was pastor!
And if his wife hadn't died he would probably still be micromanaging parishioners lives as pastor.
He isn’t qualified to be a pastor. I wonder if anyone going to that church is able to comprehend what the Bible teaches. Do they read, study, and apply the teachings? Wonder if it is just a feel good social club?

I was also surprised when I learned that she had previously been married given that she was fairly young when she married JP. This case is so sad & tragic. I can't even imagine what her family felt hearing that 911 call knowing they would have done & said anything to keep her here.😢

This and the fact he officiated her wedding and proceeds to have an affair with her? Not cheating isn't just subtext of the Bible or implied to be wrong, it is explicitly stated how wrong it is in the 10 commandments. She was clearly groomed and mentally unwell and he took full advantage of her.

But we really don't know anything about his side of the story except that he's alleged that she had mental problems. And honestly, we don't know an actual diagnosis, the severity, or how those affected their home life. Once again, not defending him. But if she did have bipolar 1 or 2, or potentially Borderline Personality Disorder, she could potentially have behaved just as abusively as her husband has allegedly been. But the fact is, regardless of however she or her husband were together or apart, she was the one who made the choice and she's the one who took her own life.

There are a lot of weird sects and offshoots of major religions in the southeast. They just pop up anywhere, seemingly overnight in shopping malls, at peoples’ houses and in “fly by night” places. They all have weird pastors like this one, in one way or another. Be careful of the myths and these “cult like” leaders that you may follow. These types of “churches/religions” are fertile ground for malignant narcissists and psychopaths. Know where your children are, and who they are with, at all times if you decide to frequent these types of “churches.” Don’t be naive.

She was not dx with Bipolar until after her marriage to JP. We know that being abused by a narcissist can induced paranoia, anxiety etc.
Bipolar is only diagnosed after a documented instance of mania. Its not typically diagnosed, so we can assume if she actually got diagnosed, she had been manic rather than just anxious or depressed

Her husband pushed the diagnosis, so that he could continue to abuse, gaslight, manipulate her while simultaneously lie to his congregation. He is the classic malignant narcissist that destroyed her in every aspect.

It's easier to see a person having a bipolar episode and be afraid than it is to see someone who is extremely good at lying and manipulating their way through life and pretending to understand empathy. We assume most people have basic decency, and people like JP use it to their full advantage by pretending to be upstanding citizens while the people closest to them know their true personalities. (Also, no hate to people with NPD actively trying to better themselves and not harm the people around them.)

He was on video laying on the ground crying saying they changed his medication… and he felt like he had ants crawling all over him. He then told his church he was on Lithium himself for Bi-polar disorder. These two videos are out there. Yikes.
Perhaps he’s projecting his own issues onto her, and she didn’t have any mental health issues at all…or if she did, her mental health issues were not that bad. Lots of these kinds of men like to claim that their wives are “crazy” so no one will believe them when they speak up about the abuse.

How do we know Mica was bipolar?? She was diagnosed AFTER she married John Paul. He mentioned that he was bipolar and had taken lithium. Her mental health was affected by his toxic and abusive behavior. He was projecting his bipolar on Mica.

This dude has narcissist written all over him. From the outside, these dudes are just creeps to be avoided. But people fail to realize, a narcissistic relationship begins with grooming in EVERY case. They pull you in by pretending to be really nice, sweet, loving- they bait you. And then they transform, reveal who they really are. And the partner in the relationship with them feels like it’s their own fault for their constant misery. The abuse is both obvious and subtle. It’s a mind game. The “relationships” (“dynamics”, more like) I had with narcissists drove me to self destruction too. Almost. And even still, when I hear others’ stories, I remember how close I came to ending it all. The abuse takes everything from you. Your only hope is to get out, and then process and heal… but it’s not a guarantee. The pain lingers. I feel so much compassion for her, she was overpowered by him. I hope she can rest peacefully now

100%. I almost ended my life after all the things my ex-narcissist did, including attempted unaliving. Every time I got close to figuring out his secret (that he is a ped0phile, he amped up the abuse).

I was misdiagnosed with bipolar disorder from 25 y/o to 32. I was put on lithium after the constant abuse of a narcissist ex and boss. I advocated for myself and I don't have bipolar. I have ADHD.
I remember my ex was happy to take me to therapy and chug lithium and olanzapine (antipsichotic) to "make me softer and calmer" of course he wanted that, he wanted me confused and seem crazy.
I remember he even convinced my mother to put me back on the bipolar meds when I started to see right through the abuse and manipulation.
I almost married this man.. but like Mica, I looked for help, broke it off and did a lot of reading and self work. I AM now thriving, on the right meds and right diagnosis.
It pains me to know and learn about this case because it hits SO close to home. not a lot of people (specially women) have the energy or resources to get out of that situation. It drains you mentally, emotionally and financially. If you are a person going through something similar please find help, you deserve a love that makes you feel free and safe.

Fast forward to adulthood and I go to get re-diagnosed and assessed. Tested within measures of Severe inattentive ADHD. Mind you, the diagnosis process includes measures to eliminate other possible mental health disorders and comorbidities.
From the psychologist, I book an appointment with a male psychiatrist who wanted to “rule out” bipolar disorder before approving treatment because I was “always happy” and he didn’t know if it was “mania”. I advocated for myself though and told him I just spent 3 days in a testing room with a psychologist and if bipolar disorder was present, he would know. 🙄

Yeah, that is very unusual for a person to do right before suicide. Was it a cry out for help? Maybe police should have gone immediately, but maybe they did and it was too late. Another senseless waste of a human life. Is earth really too overpopulated with over 8 billion people on the planet? Yes, I guess so, we have already almost run out of resources. One way or the other the earth will bring balance to itself. Maybe humans will all be bi-polar and kill themselves or each other?

Local police have closed the case, calling it suicide. The FBI is not now, though, since it's interstate.
I just saw a woman who used an AI program, it took 30 seconds for her to do a statement from her that she typed in, but never actually said herself.

As a person who has Complex-PTSD, anxiety, and major depressive disorder and who lives with a narcissist, I need to say that I understand that while her husband may not have actually pulled the trigger, but he certainly is responsible for her death. Narcissistic abuse is a very real thing and I am certain that he never gave her a chance to have a moment of peace. Don’t worry , I contract constantly for my safety and the safety of others. I still believe he actually murdered her and just has gotten away with it until now but eventually he will have to stand before God and no one escapes His judgment!
Even if the so-called pastor didn't actually pull the trigger, I believe that Mica felt like it was the only way she would escape him. Very tragic, and I pray for peace and comfort for her family.
His texts were extremely manipulative, vindictive, and so controlling. I also think she was vulnerable and felt she couldn’t escape him because it almost seemed like he was stalking her.

He stalks her sister. Pastors have nothing else to do in life, all they do is write a 20 minute talk, most of it about themselves them add a verse or 2 then they have the rest of the time off. All social meals are written off. It is a great business plan. Most pastors are legit but this guy is clearly on video all the time and using his time to harass folks, go to mall, , delete her computer items, talk to attorneys, meet with his new girlie, purchase tire deflaters, publish boob pics, stalk his wife in person, attach car trackers, etc. So that is what this working church man actions were all day.

@@spunkycat6144 He sure wasn't trying to lead a more godly life, this bar owning woman-chasing pastor who befriended a lawyer who is an AI expert and owns a huge piece of land where he lives--right on the Lumber River State Park, all 200 acres of it, right on the river. And he befriends Law Enforcement officers who are in his congregation.
I think the reason he committed mica against her will was to get her diagnosed with all sorts of mania and probably get her drugged and even programmed.
I had a friend for a couple years who was bipolar and Borderline. She was caught in a relationship with an "exceedingly creepy and toxic" individual. Our friendship became her just confessing terrible stories and complaining, while fully admitting she could never leave him. It became stressful and annoying to myself, to the point that our friendship was no longer a two-way street with value and I had to cut it off for my own mental health. That's how toxic these relationships can become not just to those in them, but those who exist around that relationship.
I've only recently pulled out of a similar situation. It's exhausting.
Just FYI, Mica was moving on. She had filed a divorce petition and a request for a restraining order from JP. She had decided she wanted nothing to do with him, no guilt about the divorce.
But yes, some people can't process through abuse. They get stuck and feel guilty and can't move. I think the Bible even says something about that.

I had a friend with bpd. It got worse as he reached his thirties and by 35 we found him hanging from a tree. On that day hes just as normal as his usual self was hanging out at our regular spot and about half an hour after he left some local kids reported his demise

Seems like there's a rise of cases like this a person dying by suicide at the hands of an abusive partner we saw it with Michelle Carter and there's been a couple of other cases out there like that too.
I've seen several in comments to videos on this subject. Handprint bruises on the neck but it was death by pills, and everyone in the neighborhood knew he was abusive to her. This JP is so sus, just from all his sermons and his police record, his own admissions. The company this bar owning pastor keeps, etc.
It appears the elephant in the room is she couldn't help from law enforcement... She reported him 8 times and was not taken seriously! She did the right thing by reporting him and was shut down!

Maybe you can explain why so many manipulative, narcissistic, grandiose, self believing "deities" end up in church leadership positions? And why do they attract so many cult members? There are many wonderful, compassionate and humble pastors out there to compare these monsters to- yet despite so many cases of s#! abuse against children and/ or women coming to the attention of the public, these "pastors" continue to find sheep to shepherd. Some people left the congregation. One of them put out evidence of the type of man he was. He was pursuing a woman he just met right after Mica died. The woman recognized him because her sister had gone to the church for a while but left because she saw people there being treated badly.
There were others. There is more about the waitress on the Vision Unsealed channel. There are a lot of Christians who are calling him an abuser and not a man of God.
An abusive relationship can drive you to insanity, with or without a mental health condition. Crazy making.
Finally a sane person talking about this case! I’m so sickened by all the other law and crime channels overhyping this and acting like it’s a murder trial. It’s unfair to the families and only makes their grievances deeper and more difficult to navigate and accept. Some of these channels have even done interviews with the wife’s family and fed into their “foul play” narrative, all for views and furthering their channel, it’s really disgusting

its weird to me how people treat marriage and divorce like dating and breaking up.
Mainly in cities, rural people are less likely to do so.

I've lived in the city and super rural and in rural areas so many people get married when they're like 19 or 20 and end up divorced 5 or 10 years later when they actually fully become adults. In the city ppl tend to date more and for longer so they aren't jumping into a marriage right away. Of course the ghetto area in the city is a whole different story but they aren't getting married to begin with lol.
The mental health hospital also should have done more to help her. Those places are awful and do t help. They make sure you REALLY want to end it all.

CORRECTION: Mica told her family she was going to buy the weapon for self defense (hence why she's smiling in the photo while in the shop-doesn't look like someone about to kill herself). (The husband probably realized she was going to buy the weapon for self defense and he intercepted to use it against her). You do not know that she "acted alone"... Just because his vehicle was far from her when she died, doesn't mean he was in that vehicle. Also, Mica's family says she had no history of a mental health issue before marrying him...so it wasn't a factor when they met.

Thank you Dr. Grande for a detailed and revealing summary. It echoes closely to the abusive marriage that I had to "a man of the cloth" -- sadly, so many of them believe they are immune to evil doing, constantly rebuking others "who need to be saved" by shouting scriptures @ them😢
Also, the pastor is dating a woman at this moment, whose husband recently passed away. The guy died by drowning in a pool. He was in a wheel chair and “fell in the pool”. The pastor also had married them years before. And now that both spouses are dead. They’re dating…
This I hope it’s investigated who in the right mind in a wheelchair gets close to a swimming pool? Sounds like someone pushed him.
The wheelchair guy had told JP to stay away from his wife and children two weeks before he died.
Residents near that pool said they were shown video of it happening, I guess from a security camera. But JP's church security director injected Mica with testosterone, he's a body builder. I don't think she was willing. She tried 8 times to tell police about his various activities and abuse but they were ignored.
I'm thinking that JP's girlfriend could have accidentally given him a little something in his orange juice that morning. THIS QUADRIPLEGIC HUSBAND OF HERS IS THE DROWNED MAN WHO TWO WEEKS BEFORE HAD TOLD JP TO STAY AWAY FROM HIS WIFE AND KIDS. He obviously knew something was wrong. The wife is Susie Skinner who consoled JP at a restaurant after the funeral, because no one else from the church would sit with him.
So that's two questionable deaths ending with the body in the water.
Mica was incredibly beautiful. Wow.
You cannot know the terror, despair and hopelessness of Mica. Please keep you razor sharp instincts honed on JP himself Dr Grande. His TRUCK was see miles from the scene…HE HIMSELF was not.

As an ex religion follower this proves to me that going to church, preaching, or being a follower does make a good person. My decision to stop being a sheep made me realized that God lives within me and it’s my choice to allow him to guide me through life being the best person I can. Religion is an abomination. Let’s love God and demonstrate his love through actions.

He should face charges for what he put Mica through, but the likelihood of that is pretty much nil now that she's dead. At least he's being exposed. He won't learn from this and will maintain his innocence, but at least those around him will be aware.

This saying has always triggered me a bit. I don't personally believe any such god or it's 'grace' exists. But then if it did, then you seem to be saying that YOU deserve gods grace, whereas this poor woman didn't. You see, you might just as easily say 'there but for the LACK of gods grace goes she.' Why do you deserve grace and she doesn't? It's like you're either saying that you deserve grace and she doesn't, or gods a capricious asshole dishing out grace and/or dismay with no rhyme or reason. I don't mean to sound mean but it's really a self-righteous depity to proclaim a God favouring you for no good reason. Grace and faith are actually ugly, selfish, irresponsible ideas IMHO.

He was making a pass at a waitress just after she died. The waitress saved the receipt where he gave her his phone number and a big tip. He asked her for photos.
Susie Skinner is the name of the gal from church, whose husband died in 2021. He had told JP to stay away from his wife and kids, and two weeks later was dead. The security camera showed him slipping into the pool after getting too close.
Susie seems to be very admiring of JP. She consoled him in a restaurant right after the funeral, because "no one else from the church would sit with him".
I wonder why? Maybe they were afraid to come between Susie and JP. Or JP and the waitress.
Thank you Dr. Grande for looking into the case of Mica Miller. I think the more attention this case receives, the more chances there are for a thorough investigation into the local police enforcements lack of protection, JP Miller, the Church, the lack of complete autopsy done. I believe Mica was only diagnosed with bipolar once she married JP. The hospital that did the involuntary admittance of Mica did it on a paper that wasn't even filed with the courts. This allowed him to get her vehicle, keys, purse, cell phone and laptop. In which he was able to delete any and all evidence Mica had been collecting against JP.
