  • Another one from this fine set that I've been giving to students! This feels like a study in depicting various operatic characters.
    Recorded by Peter Anthony Smith on a Buffet Festival Clarinet, Vandoren BD5 mouthpiece, BG L4SR ligature, and a Vandoren V12 Strength 3.5 reed.

    The way you lift your arms for certain parts reminds me a bit of watching a waveform - it has peaks and valleys to match the intensity of the song. neat stuff!

      One of my closest friends in high school was an alto sax player who stood stock still in performance - but it all came out in eyes and eyebrows :)
