The song and Bowser's Castle course itself are both very intimidating. One of the best Bowser's Castle themes in Mario Kart.
You know, it's weird, I associate this theme with Bowser's Castle, but it has a spooky enough vibe that I also see why it was use for the Luigi's Mansion battle course.

Great song for Bowser’s Castle, not quite as much for Luigi’s Mansion, glad they gave us a new song for the Switch version
Agreed, I think it's more fitting that they replaced it with a remix of DS Luigi's Mansion theme on the Switch version. I'm not sure why many people were upset about this, based on what I read in the comments of this song. I'm glad that someone else said it.
