There's a cute moment from the press conference in Hungary where he asked Oscar how old he was when something had happened (maybe when Danny had joined STR?) and Oscar's answer of, effectively, "a baby", clearly shocked him

Let us hope Daniel gives Yuki the respect he never really showed his old teammate Lando.
He needs to blend with Alpha Tauri and not try to divide the team into team Riccardo.
Learn from Gasly, cooperate rather than compete.
Cohesion makes the dream work.
Teammate is a rival on track but not the enemy overall.

Alpha Tauri has the best PR team and ran great footage of Gasly & Yuki' bromance.
Appears on the surface a great move for Daniel and Alpha Tauri, with Daniel's experience to give feedback on a car to help develop it.
I hope Daniel gives Yuki the respect he deserves and the rivalry can be hard but fair.
I feel this could be the fun pairing of the grid, didn't Daniel already feed Yuki leaves in the blindfold taste test.
Yuki has banter, he stole Gasly's luggage as payback.
I really hope both these boys can have a podium by end of season.
Fair play to Daniel learning Italian to the first address of his new team, shows a willingness to adapt to his new team but also shows respect.

After WW2, 3 million European’s migrated to Australia. Daniel might be an Aussie, but his parents are Italian, which is why he can speak the language well 👍🏼
Looking forward to this pairing and what they can do for the rest of the season- here's hoping AT can also bring some much needed development to the car as well.
As well as Daniel's parents being Italian, he also lived in Italy for a couple of years when he first moved to Europe to pursue F1. But fair play to do that speech in Italian given I doubt he speaks it very often.
F1 Drivers never cease to amaze me. So many drivers know so many languages. Germans, australians almost everyone speaks italian😂
Daniel has a lot of haters, but even they can’t deny how the spirit of an entire room full of people lifts when he enters a room. DR is one in a million, and an absolute treasure in F1 ❤

It's sop easy to see just how much Daniels spirit lifts everyone around him. To see the way the staff at the factory responded to him, and everyone that he comes into contact with is just incredible. It was the same when he went to Renault, then McLaren. And no doubt that his positive attitude, and experience will help Alpha Tauri every bit as much as it helped Renault, and McLaren. Looking forward to many more smiles, podiums and shoeys!
The embracing by the team of the Honey Badger theme and the honey pot decals are an awesome welcome, Danny must have felt so welcomed.

Just got into F1 this year from no prior experience. From the first race i immediately became a Yuki fan. Im super hyped to see AT get better and better, though i know the car so far needs a bit of tlc. Awesome to see Dan Ric back now too!!

Japan was australias biggest trade partner during the 1990s. at school us aussies, it was a language we were encouraged to study. we get on really great together aussies and nihon-gos. both got crazy senses of humour, where you need to reel in the swears, and the dirty... sometimes. yuki and dan will be a danger to the marketing staff to control.

As a New Zealander I was rooting for Liam Lawson to take Nicks seat but his time will come. Although It is cool to see Daniel race again. So much pressure on him though as he really needs to perform to keep his seat and future alive in f1. It's like any driver really but because he's a bit older now its kind of a last chance thing. Seriously with the quality of NZ race car drivers in literally every other discipline it is a crime there aren't any NZ F1 drivers on the grid. Love having 2 aussies but I guess you guys are dominating every other type of motorsports so... we need to have a safe space for us Aussies ;)

I'm hoping with DR there, he can help improve the car before Liam Lawson jumps in it. It would be so much pressure jumping in mid season, I feel like it's better left to DR who we know is used to pressure. Then hopefully Liam can come in later at the start of a season with an improved car and rejuvenated team.

I've always said you can tell a lot about an employee by what happens when they leave and come back even if it's for vacation. The people, people like, staff are always so excited to talk to you and can't wait to tell you what happened when you were gone, and they come straight up to you. If you leave and come back and people can barely be bothered or haven't even noticed you were gone, that will tell you a lot.
Then got in from the opposite side that he preferred, that sort of thing would be my 1 constant ritual just like i always put left batting pad on before the right when getting ready to bat at cricket. Routine Danny Ric, Routine!
