In Windows 8, besides the Calculator app that you’d found in the Start screen, there’s also the Windows 7 one included when you type “calc” in the run box
The Metro Calculator app is in Windows 8.1, not 8.0.
Wooow didn't know that even though i have done loads of windows experiments in real hardware lel
Yep, you are right
2:44 this is the Windows 10 calculator.
The Windows 11 calculator
@@Paolog_ the Windows 11 calculator is a little bit different.
No
@@tomtheavenger Windows 11 calculator was wrote in C# with the new Win 11 Mica Visual Style.
Ikr, Windows 11 Calculator have curved on every button
Windows 11 has a different calculator app re-written in C# and has Mica UI with rounded buttons..
Else, it was an amazing video
Version 10.21xx is still included on clean installs.
@@generixer6250 yeah.. That's true btw
A calculator is a calculator bro, doesnt matter if programmed in C or python, it just need to work proprely and do its job.
I dont understand why rebuilding a new calculator app is needed.
Microsoft should rethink their priorities, windows 11 still have a lack of optimization, for example why 2 settings app if a complete one can do the job ? Why window and Program management still give me flashbacks of windows 98 or xp ? Imo Microsoft is giving the strict minimum to maintain windows Alive.
@@virusyrel771 everybody says the same, lack of optimization
@@cacti16s why did u tagged me
Gotta miss the time where the UI of calculator was smaller
What do you mean? Of course the buttons need to be like 30x the size of the cursor.
Do you not know how to resize programs? I don't find Windows 10's calculator too big at least.
@@ellegaard_k it's just uncomfortable and takes more spaces when multitasking
@@GERALD_786 It's sarcasm........
@@ellegaard_k oh ok sorry
I actually kinda like the win 1.01 calculator. Kind of gives pixelated game vibes
I love that sometimes it uses Windows Build numbers 😂😂😂
Hello, XP.
@Noah Shaun 86% of people you find will use emojis
@Noah Shaun well, maybe 40%
@Noah Shaun but many people use emojis
@Noah Shaun and emojis exist for a reason, why do you think no one should use them?
In cases of Windows 10 and 11, you should have referred to the version number (see About) since it can be updated.
Windows Xp and 7 calculator brings memories.
He skipped Windows ME and Windows 2000. 1:16
it's the same as 98.
@@NobelTech no
2:42 The Windows 11 Calculator is on Windows 10 format, This is why he couldn’t reveal the calculator in Windows 11 format.
It's just that the "equals" button has become blue.
Windows 7 is so nostalgic...
nah 10 is better
@@hirotoball 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah. Better at spying you and throwing into your face tons of adwares even though you had already paid money to buy it.
@@NguyenTran-mf9gj shut up atleast windows 10 has a support.
And windows 10 have ms store, secure boot, uefi
You think secure boot is not useful but it can bypass boot lockers
and nore
You think Windows 7 is better beacuse its nostalgic
@@averagerobloxsimp It's not very much nostalgic to me cause I'm still currently using it 😂😂
And MS Store? Really 😂😂
Who the hell use MS Store anyway? Most PC users rather download DLL files from the internet rather than using MS Store and most of them don't even know MS Store even exist 🤣🤣.
Windows Defender is also a half-baked antivirus software. Most of you guys would rather use third party antivirus softwares like Avast, Kaspersky,... anyway.
Windows 7 is still support most of modern softwares and latest browsers so your point is kinda pointless. Even if the software you wanted doesn't support Windows 7, you can tweak it a little bit to make it work. That's very simple.
Windows 10 is spyware. The only reason I'm using it is because I turned most of it off, I can't find a real windows 7 iso I haven't had to download and that not all things run on 7. I mean at least we're not all using Windows 11. Right?
That was Nostalgic
It's amazing!!!
You forgot some like Windows Me, and Windows 2000.
in server 2022 it uses the windows 7 calcuator instead of the windows 10 one
windows xp and 7 are the best as usual
@@Afouthere I would go along with that
He is come back!
Honestly OG design are better than flat bread like design today.
Feels like more life in them compared to now.
1:46 a windows 7 calc
why you didn’t add the version that has rounded buttons
You know this is the reason computers were made.... To compute👍👍
Calculator on Vista wasn't changed since Windows 95 💀
Notice: Windows 8.1 also have another type of calculator
Window XP is love 💕

it wasn't until windows 10 they added a square button! yet sqrt had been there from the start, I can't be the only one that seems weird to?
In Windows 1.01 there is a program called Terminal. What does it do?
I study old OSes but I don't know that. 😅
Yh it's in a few future ones, it's not a command prompt I think it has something to do with phone lines and the dial up networking
@@bazthedev I knew that it wasn't the command prompt and yes probably something with communication. But what? 🤔
Command prompt is direct kernel communication I think, back then it was called MS-DOS prompt cos Windows didn't move fully into NT until obviously after 2000.
@@bazthedev Yes it was the MS-DOS prompt.
But Terminal is not the MS-DOS prompt.
@@roamn_ it's a remote connection you can transfer files and commands to another machine. Possibly TTY based but I cant remember there is plenty of information at the end of a google search, probably even some youtube demos.

You Skipped windows 8.0 the original 2012 calculator
Same as Windows 7.
make on mspaint
Aaand thats how we came to the time when even the calculator takes forever to load
Are you using 1 GB of RAM and Pentium 4?
Windows 7 the best SO and best UI, Windows 11 sucks, It's an involution
Yy
I don't like the new calculator because it's gigantic but the transparency effect is good tho
You can resize the window
@@generixer6250 it's still gigantic when I resize the calculator window to the smallest size
@@GERALD_786 r u okay?
@@DreamMaxStudio wdym? My native screen resolution is 1366 x 768 so the calculator apps looks gigantic compared to 1920 x 1080
@@GERALD_786 there is a button to make it even smaller, than in windows 7 (even on 1366x768 resolution). tap on this button, and resize the window again. i think it'll help ya
