- Here is our humble offering to our beloved Lalitha aunty, as a mark of love and respect. We were very fortunate to have learnt this composition (tuned by the sisters themselves) directly from her. She was a huge inspiration for us both as a musician and as a human being. Seeking her blessings always🙏🏼

Felt blessed listening to this offering in Raga Lalit, which in Hindustani tradition is sung at the dawn, when Goddess Ushas makes her graceful presence in the sky, dispelling all dark and evil forces, making way for the sun to pierece through the horizon with his bright light.
The mellifluous alaap along with the visuals of the lake and the flight of cranes transported me to a different plane. Saint Purandaradasa's plea to Lord Venkataramana is soaked in Bhakti rasa, and Akkarai Sisters' devotion and respect to Vidushi Lalitha ji of the celebrated duo, Hyderabad Sisters, is very evident in this rendition.
